The Fifth Marauder (Harry Pptter Fanfiction)

Chapter Seven

"Ronni it's your first time on the train!! Man I love this train. The first time I was on this train I pranked Leo and his friends it was so funny. Padfoot was on the floor laughing his head off," I laughed at the thought. 

"Luna are you alright?" Prongs asked.

"Yes I am Prongs, I am more than alright, I get to see my family for Christmas and just warning you new the WHOLE family will be there. Why do you ask Prongs?" I ask.

"Well for starters you are in a rather good mood and when ever you talk about Leo you always get sad and gloomy," Prongs said. He has a point. Yeah it's the my first birthday with out my partner in crime, but I need to be strong for my family.

"Now Prongs why would I want to be sad and gloomy on my birthday?" I asked while opening an empty compartment door. Prongs looked at everyone else in shock. Yep I knew it they forgot, except for Ronni, Remus and Peter.

"You forgot didn't you?"I asked.

"Of course we didn't forget, you ruined you surprise," Prongs said.

"Mmmmhhhmmmm whatever you say Prongs," I sang. Everyone filed into the compartment. The train started and we were off to London.

"So for New Years who is getting drunk with me?" I asked with my signature smirk plastered on my face. Ronni looked at me with a smirk and I knew exactly what he was thinking. Everyone looked at us with questioning looks.

"Oh my Merlin I am just kidding, we wont do that until at least fifth year," I laughed. They all start to laugh, but it wasn't like a laugh laugh it was a nervous laugh.

"Hey I am going to take a nap I didn't sleep much," I said not to anyone in particular. I laid my head on Sirius's shoulder and fell asleep almost instantly.

"Luna wake up we are here," I heard Sirius's voice disturb my slumber.

"Thanks Sirius," I said in a sleepy voice.
"I like your sleepy voice," Sirius muttered to himself. I pretended not hear him for his sake. We all grabbed our trunks and headed off the train. I am pretty sure we are going to floo  network to get to the house. I don't think we would all fit in the back of my fathers car. I was only meant to carry Sage, Leo, Alex, and I. When I walked off the train I looked to my left nothing I didn't see my parents or any of my family. I looked to my right to scan the small crowd, and nothing. 

"They must have gotten an emergency at the hospital," I thought out loud, "Come on we have to Floo home. Prongs you can go first and I will send the trunks after, Alright?"

"Yeah but what do you want to say?"He asked.

"Bennett Estate," I said plainly, "make sure you don't mumble." James nodded and repeated the phrase loud and clear. I waited thirty seconds to send all of our trunks. After a few minutes I decided that was enough time for James to get all the trunks out of the fire place.

"Ronni you next, Sage should be home do you mind checking on him?" I asked.

"No problem Mags," Ronni smiled, stepped into the fire place, took a hand full of floo powder, and said, "Bennett Estate."

"Peter you next," helped him into the fire place. He said the phrase nice and clear. Remus was already in the fire place before I could tell him what was next. The green flames surrounded his body making him disappear. 

"Pads you're up," I ushered him into the fire place.

"Luna, I know you are upset that your parents aren't here," Padfoot stated.

"Yeah, well this happens all the time. Even the day Leo and I were getting on the train, they couldn't make it. It's fine though, it happens all the time. Now go," I rambled. He started to speak again. Before he could get his sentence out, I took a hand full of floo powder and sent him the the house. I waited a few seconds before I got in the fire place myself. 

"Bennett Estate," I spoke with a single tear running down my cheek. The green flames surrounded my body transporting me to my home. I opened my eyes to see the mud room just as I left it. I stepped on the dark brown wooden floors and took off my shoes. I put my shoes on my empty shelf. I looked up and there was Christmas garland around the fire place. The air smelt like sugar cookies when I sniffed into the air. Mom still had the wind chimes up from the summer. She invented a charm to make them chime even when the wind isn't blowing. In the summer I would sit in the window seat and read for hours with the windows open listening to the birds and other animals in the field around the house. I opened the door from the mud room to the living room.

"Surprise!" a large crowd yelled out.
