Chapter Five

"Me? Why me?" I asked.
"Have you not met you? You are the best. You're funny, smart, kind, but also mean, determined, and much more," James said taking a step towards me.
"What about Lily?" I asked looking at my feet.
"I'm over her. It's you that I want," he said. Sirius cleared his throat," hey not to interrupt, but you guys kinda just made me loose my appetite, so can you just talk about this when you two are alone?" I laughed a little.
"How about we discuss this over dinner tomorrow at Hogsmead?" James asked.
"Yeah sure, sounds fun. I'll meet you in the common room at let's say four so we have time to walk to Hogsmead have dinner at five and be back before curfew," I smiled.
"Sounds like a plan," he smiled.
"Well I have to go, I have a detention with Alex in about twenty minutes. I have to run up to the common room, grab some stuff then go to his classroom. I'll see you guys later," I waved and started walking to the common room. After I grabbed my D.A.D.A. stuff, I ran to Alex's office.
"You are late," Alex said not looking up from his parchment.
"What are we doing today professor?" I asked sitting down and smiling.
"You are in a rather good mood," he muttered.
"Well James just said he liked me," I smiled.
"You never told me that you like James Potter?" He asked.
"Brother do I have to remind you that I haven't Been talking much," I said not looking in his eyes. There was a long awkward silence. To break the silence there was a huge crash and a squeal coming from Alex's office.
"What was that?" I asked running up the stairs.
I pointed my wand at the door I flick my first, using wordless magic, and I see someone with platinum blonde hair. It can't be. The person turned around.
"Ronni?" I asked.
"In the flesh,"he said.
"Ronni!! My best friend how are you!" I asked hugging him.
"I'm doing good Mags. How are you?" He asked with complete concern.
"I'm getting back to my old self," I smirked," what are you doing here?"
"I thought since you haven't been talking much that you would like you best friend here and he is transferring to Hogwarts," Alex explained.
"No way! After my detention I have to introduce you to my friends!" I yelled jumping up and down.
"Your detention is over you may leave," Alex said. I squealed, kissed Alex on the cheek and pulled Ronni out of the room.
"So how do you like it here?" Ronni asked.
"I love it here Ronni and you will too. It's a lot like Ireland but bigger," I smiled holding his hand. Ronni and I have been best friends since we were eleven. The reason why we hold hands when we are walking together is because in day half way through our first year of school some bad wizards attacked the school and people pushed us everywhere and eventually we lost each other. Of course we found each other again. It was really scary, so now we hold hands everywhere we go.
"It's about almost lunch time do you want to head to the great hall?" I asked?
"Sure I'm starving?" He said patting is tummy. I laughed.
"What house are you in?" I asked.
"Gryffindor," he states.
"Perfect. I am in Gryffindor as well," I smiled pulling him into the great hall.
"Okay so during breakfast and lunch we can sit where ever we want, but during dinner we have to sit at our house tables. That is Slytherin to the far left, Hufflepuff at our left, Ravenclaw is at the far right, and Gryffindor is to our right," I said pointing to each table. Prongs, Padfoot, Monny, and Wormtail were all at the table. Prongs looked at us and look at our hands. I rolled my eyes and dragged Ronni to our spot.
"Who are you mate?" James hissed his question.
"Prongs calm down," I hissed.
"No I want to know why you two are holding hands. I thought we were a thing and now you are with this blonde guy," his voice started to rise.
"Prongs-" James cut me off
"Who are you mate?" He pushed Ronnie,"why are you holding my girl's hand?"
"JAMES POTTER YOU LISTEN TO ME RIGHT NOW!" I yelled. Every head turn to our attention.
"Alright nothing to see here go back to your lunch," I told everyone. James looked at me like he has seen a ghost.
"James this is Ronni my best friend from Ireland. We hold hands In the hall way because of a death eater attack in our first year we got separated and now we hold hands everywhere we go," I explained. His eyes soften.
"Oh sorry mate. James Potter," he held out his hand.
"Ronni Hallow," Ronni shook his hand.
Is he always like this? Ronnie asked in my mind. We are able to use telepathy.
No Ronni he is just protective of me.

No really haven't really noticed. Man I thought he was about to hex me until my head fell off.

I started to laugh and everyone gave we an odd look.
"Prongs can we rain check on the dinner at Hogsmead I really want to show Ronni around you guys could come along as well if you want?" I asked.
"No problem Luna, and sure we would love to come along. We can tell him all about our best pranks," Prongs said rubbing his hands together.
"James Potter give me back my book!" Lily yelled from the great hall entrance.
"Not over lily huh? You always do this when you like someone I know you don't like me prongs just admit it," I said.
"I'm sorry Luna I don't know what came over me," he said looking at his lap.
"Alright who took my love potion and gave it to James?" I asked.
"I didn't do it," Moony, Wormtail, and Padfoot said in unison. I looked into there minds one by one.
"Padfoot hand it here," I said holding out my hand for the vial of love potion. He looks at his plate looking a shamed of himself. He digs into his pocket and pulls out a small pink vial.
"That's what I thought," I hissed, "let's go Ronni."
"Where?" He asks.
"First the common room then Hogsmead," I said over my shoulder. While Ronni and I were at Hogsmead we just talked about the good old days back in Ireland. I was really the only British person at the school. Now we are in our way back to the castle.
"Ronni how could I be so stupid? I mean James has liked Lilly since first year. Those feelings can't just go away in one second! I was just blind by my own feelings!" I started to yell getting myself worked up.
"Maggie, are you sure you like him. The way you look at the guy with shaggy hair it's like you are in love," Ronni said.
"Me like Sirius? No way. He is just a friend," I laughed. We turned the corner and I bumped into someone. They started to mumble some nasty things.
"Oh I am so sorry I didn't see you there," I said looking at my feet. I looked up to se Sev.
"Oh hey mags. Who is this?" He asked me pointing to Ronni.
"This is Ronni Hallow my best friend from Ireland. Ronni the is Severus Snape," I introduced them to each other.
"Nice to meet you Severus," Ronni stuck out his hand. Sev hesitantly shook his hand. We bid our goodbyes and we went off.

It's the last day until Christmas break. Thank Merlin. I don't think I could be here any longer. I have been trying to avoid talking to James since that whole love potion thing. He had tried apologizing many times but I just walk away. I know I am acting foolish, but I just can't stand that I could be that stupid. I know that James likes Lilly. He has since he first laid eyes on her. I don't know why Sirius stole my love potion. Maybe he intended to us it on me but James got it by accident. Right now I am in the common room writing in my journal. Yes I keep a journal. Alex sought it be best for me to write all my feelings down since Leo. I swear I can he his voice still. It makes me wonder why he isn't a ghost here at Hogwarts. He has always loved it here. He always pulled pranks and jokes during class. Everyone loved him here except for the Slytherins of course.
"Maggie," I hear a chilling voice call.
"Who's there?" I asked pulling out me wand. It is two in the morning nobody is up.
"Maggie help me Maggie," it said again.
"Show yourself," I said starting for the stairs. I turned to run up the stairs when a ghost like figure stood in front of me.
"Leo?" I asked tilting my head to the side in confusion.
