A numb girl sits in a room,
She says nothing but fakes a smile,
Outside she is calm,
Inside her mind it goes boom.
No one sees her tears that fall,
Thinking she is just fine,
She thinks she is nothing at all,
Deep down she wants to die.
Shutting out everyone is what she knows,
People bully and push around,
Not wanting to take the blows,
Feeling sorrow as she falls to the ground.
Music is the only escape,
It won't judge you,
She listens to it up late.
Yelling and fighting is all she hears,
Brother and Mother biting,
She doesn't want to be like her peers.
Voices teasing her flaws,
Never scared of her,
That's why she is numb and feels nothing at all.
