CHAPTER 2:
Today, I woke up in an abandoned warehouse. My shirt is covered with blood. My pants are slightly torn. My face turned a little pale, and I became a little skinny. What happened last night still haunts me. I left my friend to save myself from being eaten. I regret the thing that I did last night. My body is still tired. I’m alone. I got separated from my friends last night. We were chased by hoards of zombies. I ran away as fast as I can with Sarah, but unfortunately they got her.
I’ve decided to look for my friends. I don’t want to die alone, and this warehouse is not the resting place that I wanted. But right now, I have to prepare myself. I need to look for things that can be useful. Skimming through rooms and offices of the warehouse I’ve found some medical equipment that can be useful in curing minor wounds. I don’t know what lies inside this warehouse but I feel something strange about this place.
As I walk into the corridor. I heard a loud bang from upstairs. It sounded like a door closed with force. I went to the maintenance room downstairs and grab a crowbar. I don’t have any formal weapons like guns or a sword to defend myself, that’s why I just anything I can take my hands on. I know it’s very risky... but I have no choice. I need to survive.
Making my way to the upper level of the warehouse, my adrenaline pumps, I take a hold of the crowbar and prepare for a mighty swing on a zombie that will try to attack me. I feel scared of what I’m doing. I have no idea of what will happen upstairs, but I won’t let a zombie eat me… not without a fight.
Reaching the hallway of the warehouse where I heard the banging of the door. I quietly walk searching the hall. I feel something strange… a feeling that someone’s watching my every move, waiting for a chance, waiting to let my guard down. Waiting for the opportunity to take advantage on me.
While walking… I saw a shadow figure of a on the far-most side of the hall. I took a hard grip on the crowbar. The figure of a woman is coming closer. As she gets closer, I feel my adrenaline takes over. Ready to swing my crowbar a voice of a young woman shouted, and I stopped. I took a quick glance on the person in front of me and she’s not a Zombie. She’s alive, and she’s with her daughter with her and she’s protecting her from neutral acts around them. She thought I was a zombie… like I thought she was a zombie. It’s a good thing that her daughter screamed to stop us from hurting each other.

I’ve found out that I am not alone in this warehouse. There’s someone living here. I know that I should bring them with me and get to safety. I don’t want to abandon them here. And they told me that a chopper was announcing that there’s a small community nearby that’s cleaned with the threats of infections and being used as a camp for the uninfected. We must go there, my friends must be in that place. I need to see them.
