"Text him! just do it!" "no!" I say as I throw my phone to Alice across my bedroom "I already told you Alice, he creeps me out!" she didn't seem to care as she was frantically typing away on my phone, I groaned because I already knew tomorrow would be a disaster. Earlier that night Alice had found my phone and the messages Steven was sending me, he was clearly into me but quite frankly he scared the living day lights out of me. It was fair to say that I wasn't interested but Alice, who always seemed to be trying to set me up with people who had hot friends had other ideas "we're meeting Steven and Blake at the school tomorrow" she said. I rolled my eyes and flopped down onto my bed "I told you I'm not interested in him Alice!" "oh come on Holly, you haven't even given him a chance!" I pulled my long blonde hair over my face and accepted defeat.
The next morning I was awakened by Alice bumping and crashing around my room trying to find her make-up, at that point I knew that a hot friend was involved. I reluctantly got out of bed and got ready, listening to Alice go on and on about some girl who wore the same top as her. I trudged behind Alice towards the park across from my house, when we got there they weren't there yet, thank god. "This is the last place I want to be today Alice." she just sighed and twirled her long dark hair around her finger. I could tell the boys were approaching without even looking because the bench started o shake and I can see Alice bouncing around out of the corner of my eye "Holly, they're coming! look natural" she hissed at me. I sat up and gave my most polite smile as they approached "hey" Steven said. The next few hours were filled with boring talk about people from school and wandering around the park.
Alice and Blake had gone somewhere "more private" so I was stuck with Steven for the next hour. We talked, and he was actually pretty nice but I could see all the advances he was trying to make on me and I managed to escape each one smoothly. We sat in a park bench and he seemed genuinely interested about me, he was a good talker but I was still not interested. Alice and Blake returned, both looking bored as hell. I figured it was time to leave "So uh, me and Alice should probably get going, we have some other stuff we need to do today" I lied confidently. "Uh yeah sure" said Steven as he pulled me into a hug and before I knew it his lips were on mine and it was definitely not the way I pictured my first kiss, it was wet and disgusting and fireworks definitely did not go off in the background. I pulled away and quickly said goodbye. I could feel Alice's eyes on me the entire way home and I was just waiting for her to make a comment about it. "So I was right, you like him!?" "NO Alice, did you not just see that? I was practically forced into it" she sighed and said "well at least it's over with now" and continued to tell me how much of a bore Blake was because
