Chapter 1 - I have to Find him

None of this was fair.

But when is life fair?

The last thing I remember before passing out, was Nico Di Angelo's eyes. I remember thinking about how sad they looked, not just in the moment but as though that were always like that. He seemed to know me, even if I didn't know him. Was I the cause of his pain?

I woke in a prison cell. Everything was so loud it was almost silent, if that makes any sense. People were rushing about, shouting and hissing insults to one another.

"Oi, she's awake again!" A husky voice shouts. I turn around, still sitting down, to face a transparent man. He was staring me hard in the eyes and was leaning a bit to close for my liking.

"Is she conscious this time, Bill?" A woman, behind Bill, asks.

"I don't know.. Are you?" Bill glares.

"I- I don't know where I am." I whimper.

"Yeah she's awake, this time." Bill snarled. He stands, well floats, up and continues to glare at me.

"Where am I?" I begin to look around the cell. '

"Don't look around, girl." Bill snarled at me. "Drawing attention to yourself won't do you any good."

"Where am I?" I ask again, not moving my body but just my eyes. The walls were made of red soil, dripping of something that I doubted was water. I turn my head only slightly and peer out of the bars. There was monsters of every kind roaming around. I let out a small yelp and move away from the bars.

"I said don't move." Bill repeated. "Now what's your name?"

My name. I squeeze my eyes shut. Letters and numbers flash through my mind. Images, glimpses of people. People smiling and people crying. Dead people and people who looked as though they wouldn't ever die. They all seemed so familiar. A boy with shaggy jet black hair and dark eyes stared me down. I know that I know him, but, somehow I don't.

"My name is Raven Grey." I finally speak. Even my own voiced seemed unfamiliar.

"Okay Raven Grey. You have seemed to have your memory wiped. How do you feel?" Bill asked, still slightly scary.

"Sick to be honest." Suddenly a different boy entered my mind. "Luke"

"Who?" The ghost woman spoke.

"Luke Castellan." I remember talking to Luke in the underworld. Him saying he loved me.

"Oh yes Luke. He is the one who brought you here." Bill said.

"What?"

"Luke Castellan. He brought you here, to the underworld. Then another boy with black hair, oh I do believe he was the son of Hades, told us to look after you but that was about a year ago. This here is our home." Bill gestured to the prison cell. "We thought we would be safe until a stampe of those monsters came and now we have to wait for them to leave."

"How long have I been out?"

"Only a few hours dear. This cage is invisible but the mist is weak so if we move around to much they might see us." The woman ghost explained.

"Oh."Was all I could say. My head was pounding and I was sure my life was going to take a huge turn. As for this 'Son of Hades' I had to find him.

omg im back. It feels amazing to be able to click 'publish'. Did u miss me? So the chapters wont be this short bc I was just desperate to update but they wont be as long as they were before.

wow I just realised how attached i am to these characters. WOW. Okay so yeah. Ravens been out a year. who bloody knows what Nico is up to and Luke is probs sittn round looking hawt.
