Infinite ∞ Possibilities[Resumed]

Chapter 3: Underground

And bam! As I just put my palm on the block, suddenly I felt a soft tickle followed by a sudden impulse. Then an image flashed in front of me. Some yellow stained clouds, gentle breeze and some kind of super smooth terrain with some kind of insects crawling around.
I didn't recognize it at first but later I heard lumino say that it was actually the image of a distant planet.

(And how am I seeing that planet in my dream.? I was confused, but as usual Lumino had an answer)

"It's that planet which provides the council with some of the vital raw materials."

( oh, have I been there? )

"Yes, that's the season you are seeing it. You had been transported to that planet because council's senior members wanted to inspect you before you were to be planted on planet earth."

( do the senior members stay on that planet? )

"Not usually but sometimes they have important meetings here."

while I was busy exploring planet ezplar, I sensed a great deal of energy flow through me. It was so powerful that it literally tore my dream to little chunks of energies, that I saw whizzing at high speeds in the blank screen that had been created now.

I opened my eyes again, where was I?
Oh, I remember. We were installing some energy generator in my system. Is it done?
I feel all fresh and energetic again, as if I've just got some boost!

"You can quite say that. And yes, I received the message that the newer upgrade has been switched on, and working perfectly.
It basically harnesses energies from the surrounding,quite like absorbing those energies to provide you an instant boost", said lumino, sounding relieved.

(Sad part is, maybe never will the need arise for me to consume human food now.)

And then, when are we installing the next upgrade? That timeline tracker ?

"mostly after you are fully charged, it'll take some time to install and yes, it'll need some energy too. You'll be put in a stasis again."

I get it! If that's how it is supposed to be.

"I'm afraid we'll have to leave this place now, or else we could be triangulated. Just gather all your stuff you would like to take along. And don't forget the timeline tracker upgrade."

Triangulated? By whom? And why?

"I'll explain that on the way, I do sense something quite wrong, we'll be going underground."

How?

"Our guide must be on his way."

"Did you have to wait for too long?", said a voice from above, a young man in his early twenties, floating in the mid air, with a tough look but a kind smile, chestnut brown hair with dark honey colored eyes. He began to descend down slowly until his feet touched the floor. He was wearing a black suit, with an eye stitched to the side where his pocket was. He was sent by the eye council.

" you must be..."

"Yes, I'm cresenius" the man popped his words before lumino could complete.

And offered a hand to shake, I did reciprocate.

I'm Fred, I said.

Pleased to meet you!

"Pleased to meet you too", said cresenius and before I could say something else he said,
" we need to get going, I assume you don't have much time to wait here?"

"That's right", confirmed lumino after him.

The next moment cresenius tucked his hand into his coat, and pulled out what looked to be a little bracelet, he looked at it, and then kept fidgeting with some little buttons onto it.

" here you go, slide it on your wrist", commanded cresenius,

"that's to make sure we don't get lost or separated into the mesh, we'll have to have static coordinates."

(Of course, what he said went over me, but lumino whispered that we were about to teleport away.)

Then cresenius once again started to find something in his coat, and there it was, a little chocolate which he gulped in before touching a button on his black belt, which I seem to notice just now. The belt too had little weird buttons, and as he touched one of them, our surroundings started to distort, and started to be engulfed in a blankness, a white light as all I could say. Then suddenly it was all dark again, with only little white energy particles dying out eventually.

Where are we?

"This is a secret underground domicile, created by the council, it's speciality is that you can only teleport here, and that too after locking into the perfect coordinates of all the dimensions. It's really quite difficult for any intruder to even detect this place. You are safe here until you can continue", saying the same, cresenius started to fade away, before whispering,

"My work is done, good luck"

Okay, I don't see anything here honestly, it's too dark here.

"I'm trying to recall how to activate this chamber, there was a way."

Alright! , I exclaimed.

I was now getting impatient, and started to call out for someone, if there was anyone out here. But that didn't seem to work, maybe I was the only one here, I don't know. basically in the middle of literally nowhere, this place was.
Suddenly, lumino wanted me to walk exactly eight steps to where I was facing, then turn left and feel for a sensor.

I did as he said, and eventually after a while, I did find the sensor too. Now I just had to let it scan my chip, then this place would light up, revealing the wonders it contains, I could tell even in the darkness that this place would be quite huge, and turns out I was right about that.

As I got authenticated, the whole bunker brightened up, revealing a huge hall, where we currently stood,with a passage connecting to the other parts of the bunker, we were quite at the spawn point, hence it was quite empty with only some sort of dispensers and racks that had suits and equipments, some really bizarre things were also placed Into some glass boxes which floated above us, they were the source for lights, and I couldn't understand how. They seemed to contain blobs of energies trapped and glowing brightly. The floor was made of some kind of really tough grey material, quite a soft finish but it was really tough, the walls were quite white, with marble-ish texture and finish, but they too weren't delicate I assumed.
This bunker was made with futuristic technology and materials, probably they will be unknown for humanity, I even doubt you get these materials on this planet.

"We must get inside and freshen up, maybe this will be our abode for sometime."said lumino, in a very calculative voice.

Sure!

And we started to move towards the passage connecting to a small corridor, which contained some strange symbols carved at various places and at a uniform interval.

Finally we did reach a middle room, it had another sensor door, needing a higher clearance to enter I assumed, and I quite knew we would have that clearance.

I placed my palm on this one, waiting for the automatic door to authenticate and allow me in, and it did too. It revealed a huge room with seats and a table in the centre, and a dark blank wall on the side facing the chairs.

We decided to rest there for a while, until we would explore the bunker further.
