Chapter 4: Anothet Upgrade

So lumino, will you explain why are we hiding underground? You did tell me you would explain that later.

"Okay, what do you want to know exactly ?"

You said, someone would triangulate us. And you could sense something was wrong? What threat did we have there?

"We had a threat from humans, not the general people, who would view you as no different from them, but their elite, upper strata members. And they somehow managed to learn of our presence on their planet. Their general motive; if one was to assume, would have been to capture us, and possibly use us to contact the council, and probably return us in exchange for Intel or some exotic knowledge, technology, or something similar."

But isn't the council one of the most advanced and firmly established organization ?
Then why should they be scared of these humans, with their stone age technology?

"The fact is, that the elites of the upper strata, have a superior technology, since they have formed unions and pacts with several of the multiverse' organizations like the council. And due to council's highly secretive operations, no one in the multiverse is quite sure what happens in the council, what they deal with, or how powerful they really are. Hence if they get any chance to strangulate the council, they'll not waste such an opportunity."

Alright, I understand. And what's our objective now?

"I guess, we'll be fitting in some upgrades first. Then we shall achieve our objectives. But I can tell you some interesting things are coming ahead for you."

Like what?

"We will have to wait and watch."

Alright!

"Get out that timeline tracker upgrade, I assume your energy levels are quite full now. We can install it in your systems."

The same procedure as before?

"Yes, but this can take a little longer"

Here it is!

I took it out from my little sack. And placed it in front on the table in front of me. It was shining in the bright light all around us. And it was awaiting to be installed into my systems. I didn't know what to expect from this, but I thought this would be getting a little boring. And I were to find out.

I stretched my arm in front of me, opened my fist tightly and looked at my open palm.
Then gradually took it over the golden sensor. I was holding it over it. Waiting for lumino to give me the signal.

"Do it don't wait for me"

I got my signal, and I placed my palm on the little sensor. A little tickle passed through my palm, and my vision started to fade, getting darker and darker as time began passing. Until I assume I was in stasis again.
