She woke up at 6 am. She did not wanted to be late for her first day. She smiled taking a deep breath. She woke Lisa up. They both got ready.
It was the time to go. They both walked together to their classroom. Emma was nervous. She was not ready to face him. Actually she did not wanted to face him. He was pathetic person she had ever met in her life. They took their seats in front because Emma insisted Lisa. Lisa pouted and sat with Emma. Lisa was the type of backbenchers.
Everyone was taking their seats. Lecture was in fifteen minutes. So everyone was talking and busy in their own business. Emma was literally having a girly chat with her friend. The professor entered the classroom. It was biology lecture. 'Boring' for some of the students, but for Emma; it was her favorite subject. The teacher introduced himself to the classroom. He started with his subject.
"So my dear students, anybody, who knows what is Chlamydomonas?"  Nobody raised their hands except Emma. She stood up." Its one of the variety of Algae." Professor smiled impressively and praised her.
She took her seat again. The whole lecture passed easily but something was odd. Emma felt that something or someone was staring at her. She felt somewhat stupid for thinking it because she didn't really knew who it was....But she felt like she was being stared. Actually there was a scientific logic behind her thinking. She had studied somewhere that whenever someone is staring at you without your knowledge; you feel uncomfortable, uneasy. She thought it must be her wrong instincts. The lecture got over. Next period was free, so it was time to enjoy. Emma didn't really wanted to; but because of Lisa, she had to agree. They both walked out of the classroom talking about everything. They decided they would go to the canteen and have something to eat. They took their seat at the corner and Lisa went to the counter to buy some burgers and juice. Emma was sitting at her seat and was just turning her head to find every new faces; except one. It caught her breath. The warm brown eyes which were staring at her  intently and deeply. That same gorgeous eyes, simple yet different hairstyle. Nothing has changed about him except himself. He has changed. He is no more that same person whom she had loved....no more. He did not even blinked while staring. She felt her heartbeat quickened. How long he had been staring her like an idiot. She stood up and started walking away from the canteen. Suddenly she felt a pat on her shoulder she was amused for awhile. But then realized who it was; Lisa.

"Hey why did you just ran away from there? Whom did you caught ' a monster or what'???" Lisa said furrowing her eyebrows.

"Umm....I just remembered that I had some work to finish, that's it." She said in trembling voice.
Lisa noticed her uneasiness, she thought it's better to let her go now.

"Okay but you know what?? Take care of yourself. " she said winking at her friend.
Emma just tried to smile and left the spot. She hurriedly ran to her room. After reaching her room, she shut the door and started taking deep breath.

She could not think any thing. She was worried. At last she saw him, and he too. She did not wanted to meet him at all. He was staring; for what!! He's the most pathetic person she'd ever met. She did not wanted to think about him anymore. It gave her a headache.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door. She opened it carelessly.

"Are you fine?" Lisa said walking inside. "You are looking very tensed, Is there any problem?"

"No, nothing serious just a bad headache." Emma answered faking a smile.

" Okay then, let's go. We have a  Chemistry lecture, then Literature and the last one, that is Maths ." she said smiling.

"Oh god! It's such a hectic day." Emma said annoyingly. Lisa was surprised by her behavior, because  Emma was ever so excited to 'Study'.

She did not wished to attend the rest of the lectures but she had to.
All the lectures passed quickly. After the last lecture they both walked out of the classroom. They went outside for some fresh air in the college garden. They both sat down on the bench chatting about how the day was so hectic and all. It was almost time for dinner. They walked back to the hostel and went to the dinning hall. They all ate their dinner silently. Now it was finally time to bed, she was happy to realize it.

They walked back to their room. Emma phoned her mom. Lisa was already fast asleep. Emma was talking to her mom saying how much she missed her and etc. After about five minutes she was done talking to her mom and ended the call. When she was about to switch off the lamp. She heard something. Something from outside. Out of curiosity she went to the door and opened it to find nothing.
She was about to close the door, when something caught her attention. An envelope. She took the envelope and closed the door. She sat down on the bed and carefully opened it.

'Hey Sunshine, don't you Miss me??'
      It read.

She froze at her position. Nobody called her Sunshine..... Except him
Her surprise turned into anger. How dare he send her this pathetic message, after doing all this to her. How could he think she will miss him. He's ridiculous. Right now she just wanted to run straight to his room and punch him in the nose. She'd never seen this type of shameless guy in her whole life. She rolled her eyes in disgust. She picked the letter to tore it, but stopped. She wanted to tore it but couldn't. Putting the letter in her drawer, she laid down at her bed. She hated the fact that she actually missed him. She hated herself for this. A tear rolled down her eyes. Why did this happened? Why only her? What was her fault? Her only fault was......loving him? Exactly, he was the biggest mistake of my life she thought.

"You were good being a stranger to me" she whispered closing her eyes.
