Sun is bright today

Izaya woke up to Shizuo's low hiss in pain. The blonds back facing him. It wasn't even sun rise yet. A dull ache lingered in his side. The raven put a hand on Shizuo's side gently. Then got up to get new bandages to cover up the stitches. Shizuo woke up to see Izaya bandaging his side and lifting his shirt.

"W...what are you... Doing....flea?." Shizuo mumbled.

"Giving you fresh bandages. It's not even sun rise yet. Go back to sleep Shizu-Chan." Izaya smiled pulling Shizuo's shirt back down.

"Well... Now that you woke me up. Can't go back to sleep." Shizuo grinned closing his eyes.

"Hah yea right Shizuo-Chan. Your a sleepy kitty." Izaya chuckled laying back down.

Shizuo opened his tired eyes to look at Izaya. Their faces so close the tips of their noses touched one another. Izaya's checks were Alittle red. Shizuo chuckled then curled up at the sting in his side. Izaya frowned the put a hand on Shizuo's head.

"Shizuo how do you tell if your sick. Your always warm?" Izaya questioned

"I feel like crap. That's how. Didn't know I could get sick." Shizuo mumbled

"Well in your weakened state I bet it's possible." Izaya spoke softly.

"You sound like Shinra." Shizuo chuckled.

"Probably. We seem to see him more often than not. Might as well all live together." Izaya joked.

"No way I would want to live with him." Shizuo chuckled.

"We should go for a walk today." Izaya recommend

"That sounds pretty good to. But I think that would be best when the sun rises." Shizuo said closing his eyes again.

After drifting back into sleep Izaya pushed his face in Shizuo's chest hugging him close again like he did when he found his human laying in the alleyway. Izaya closed his eyes deep in thought but wide awake. It was hard to go back to sleep. Why stay here. Once Shizuo feels better they will just go back to how things were. A constant battle. Chasing one another down the streets and getting hit with vending machines. It almost made Izaya chuckle. But none of that mattered now. Not at this moment. The sun rose faster than the raven expected. Guess lost track of time while in deep thought. He grinned as the blond pushed him away to stretched.

"Well good morning now. And how are you feeling?" Izaya asked with a smile.

"A lot better. Sleep is great. I'm going to go take a shower now. Ok?" Shizuo said getting out of bed.

Izaya nodded and went into the kitchen to make scrambled eggs and bacon. The shower ran rather loudly. Izaya grinned feeling like they had been roommates for years. He looked back when Shizuo got out of the shower and walked into the room with his sweat pants on. He was shirtless drying his hair. The scars and some bruises on his body made Izaya angry. Knowing he wasn't the one who caused them.

"I made breakfast." Izaya said pulling out a plate.

"Thank you. Smells really good." Shizuo said standing over Izaya grabbing the plate since he was taller.

Izaya growles not being able to reach but then put some food into the plate handing it to Shizuo. They sad down at the table the sun lighting up the room as Shizuo ate the eggs and bacon quickly loving every bite. His eyes sparkled with excitement. It was the spark that was missed. Izaya missed it, once lost. Izaya feared he would not see it again. Shizuo cleaned up the kitchen then pulled on a white t shirt. He had relaxed his shoulders and seemed laid back at the moment. Izaya walked up and hugged him burying his face in Shizuo's chest.

"Flea?! What?..." Shizuo began

"Please don't leave me like that again." Izaya mumbled.

"What are you talking about? I'm not going anywhere?" Shizuo looked down confused rubbing Izaya's back.

"You were so lifeless as if you were dead. I missed my Shizu-Chan." Izaya hid his face.

"I'm sorry flea.... Izaya. Ah?...." He scratched the back of his head. "I won't leave you. I'm sure I'll be chasing you around town soon."

"I don't want to fight anymore. Why can't we just be more like this?" Izaya looked up.

Shizuo put a hand on Izaya's cheek and bent down. Kissing him. Their soft lips met as the blonds eyes closed peacefully. Izaya's only widened, his heart racing. It was as if the world stood still and everything went silent. Nothing mattered but this moment. Their moment. It was special. Shizuo let go and pulled back looking down at Izaya with a shy smile.

"Don't worry yourself about it." Shizuo said quietly. "Let's go outside for a bit. Maybe a nice walk."

"That sounds like a good idea Shizu-Chan." Izaya said with a smile.

After Izaya out on his usual outfit. They walked outside together. Many people stared at them with wide eyes. Seeing the citys most popular people getting along. Shizuo was slow as they walked along the side walk to the park. Izaya put a arm around Shizuo was they walked through the park looking at all the flowers. For once the sun was up high in the sky as Shizuo smiled down at Izaya. They soon held hands then walked to a bench where they talked for a bit. Shizuo lifted Izaya's chin as their lips met and they closed their eyes.
