Invasion

I have to stop. I'm breathless, hungry and tired. I sit down on a deformed rock next to an old Alligator tree. I'd been running for six days and hadn't stopped until now. I remember how it all started. Just by one wolf.

"Catch me if you can!" Aaron sticks his tongue out at me. I start to chase him, but before he can even get seven feet away, a wolf jumps out of the brush and pins Aaron, my little brother, to the ground, and snaps his neck.
I stand there, frozen. I am ready to scream. Ready to run at the enemy. I bare my teeth, and get ready to leap. The attacker looks up, blood trickling his chin. The wolf makes the first move. He leaps at me, but then a shadow flies over my head and intercepts the attack. Dad.
"Go to your mother, Amir! Warn her that there might be more! GO!"he yells.
"Are you going to be okay?" I ask, worried that they other wolf might be too strong. But then I took a careful look at the attacker and noticed he was weak, skinny, and dirty. He must've ran through the forest for weeks!
"I'll be fine!"he says.
I run towards the little hut I call Home. I burst through the door and see Mom, smiling at the two twin babies.
"Mom! A-a wolf just killed Aaron!" I sob,"Dad told me to tell you that there might be more!"At that exact moment a piercing howl brakes the silence in the room. We both rush to the door, eager to see who made it.
Dad stands over the attacker (in wolf form), the attacker not moving. I breathe out a sigh of relief. Dad picks up Aaron's lifeless body, his tail not wagging as it usually does. I choke back a scream of sadness. Aaron wasn't just my little 6 year old brother... he was my best friend. We'd do everything together. Laugh together, play games together, hunt for prey together, etc.
"Amir... You need to go! Here take some stuff with you,"Mom runs in her room and grabs a black backpack. Opening the fridge, she stuffs in two loaves of bread, and three steaks, plus a couple of water bottles. I hurry and put on the backpack. She then takes her harness carrying the twins and straps it on me. "Mom! What are y-" I begin but I hear screams and barking. I hear my Fathers whine. I look out the window and see a hoard of werewolves attacking the village. An invasion. Some in human form and some in wolf form. I see my Father get put in heavy chains, and others having the same treatment. My mom grabs my hand and ushers me to the back door. "I don't want to go! Mom please! Please, no!" I beg.
"Find help, Amir. Find help and don't stop running." She turns and heads in her room. I shape shift into a wolf and run as fast as I can towards the forest.

I get up, my legs shaking uncontrollably. Just a little more, I tell myself, but truthfully? I didn't even know where I was going. I continue through the dark, thick woods. I see some boulders and hop on the first one, then the second. Finally hopping over the third, I my stomach lurches into my throat, as I realize there's just a sloping cliff. I just jumped off a cliff. What the heck.
I scream frantically, trying to protect the twins from the rocky surface. As I bounce hardly back on the cliff my leg smacks itself on a huge rock which sent my leg to twist an awkward angle. Pain more than I can imagine spreads through me, and little black spots line my vision. Halfway down, I hit my head on a dull rock and that's when my vision goes completely dark.
