They say I don't understand. I'll NEVER

understand

Because I'm happy.

But my smile masks a cloud of remembrance

of a period of my life when

I considered myself

WORTHLESS.

The word rattled in my head

and in the pit of my stomach.

It dressed me in deep circles and

echoed in my ears.

If I laughed -

WORTHLESS.

talked -

worthless.

showed a hint of existance -

WORTHLESS.

I carried with me the weight of not caring

When my name was breathed from the lips

of

millions

in those damned halls.

Don't you see?

I let my fists unclench in false ignorance.

You dare label me as clueless

because I dare

to forget.
