Wow. I can't believe I'm actually doing this. I can't believe we're really and truly pulling this through. Mere, Eva and I are sitting in my car, Eva's sitting beside me and Meredith is laying on our backpacks in the back. We all stuffed a few hoodies, shorts, tops and all into our little rucksacks we got once when we went hiking together. I'm driving along the highway, I got no idea where I'm driving to, but Ive just let go and see what happens. We call it "road trip" but deep inside we know where running away from ourselves, the people we used to be. Eva turns the music on and moves all the parts of her body she can possibly move while sitting down in a car to the beat. I forget about my philosophical moment and start humming to the song. Mere got the map of America out and checks what road we're acctually on. "Sooo, where d'you wanna go?" I ask Eva.  Since she came up with the crazy idea, Mere and I are kind of expecting her to have a plan."Oh, I dunno. Why do you think I should know?!Just cos I want to get away for a bit. Meredith, where does the road lead to?" I hear a squeal from the back."New York City, Girls!", Meredith shouts happily. "Let's go to New York!!" While suggesting this, she looks like a little kid just about to open a ginormous present. New York. That would be so cool. "Yay!lets do that!" I crie. I was never in NYC, but that's where the fashion week is,and it's like, the coolest city in the world. "'Kay. Off to New York, then.",Eva says with a calm smile on her lips. She always seems so cool, so untouchable, but I know her well enough to see through all of this act, this mask hiding her gentle, fragile personality. She would  never admit that though, that she's only human, not even to herself.
