Fourth Poem

It felt like it was a hundred years ago

A hundred years when I first met you

When I first met your smile

And when I first met your laugh

I was fire

You were ice

I was the sun

And you were the moon

I remember you sat in front of me in class

Telling me jokes when you weren’t suppose to

Telling me secrets when you weren’t suppose to

Telling me you loved me when you weren’t suppose to

How could I have responded?

Was I supposed to say I love you too?

My mind spun like a million miles

A million miles away from you

Then I began to stop talking to you

What did I have left?

Was I in love with you?

Or was I completely insane?

Stupid, that’s what I told myself

How could I loose someone like you?

Perfect was your definition

You were just perfectly imperfect

And now when we pass each other in the halls

You don’t give me a second glance

Or even a wave at all…

Stupid, stupid, stupid
