I awake today to another annoying day of school. I carry my body lethargically to the bathroom. I turn on the shower and get in. I enjoy the feel of the warm water on my back. I turn the water on full heat, unaware of the scorching water that is hitting me. It feels like a relaxing sauna and I feel the urge to finally awake fully. I continue to wash and then I turn off the water and get dressed. As I pull on my shirt, there is a noise outside of the house. My mom and sister have left out already and so I know I'm the only one that's expected to be in or around my house. I pick up my wooden bokken (a wooden training katana) and walk to the front window barefooted.

I peek outside through the blinds and see two men in black hoodies. They're wearing black boots with black knee-high socks and black gloves. They are drenched in black, so much black, in fact, that I cannot see their skin at all. They would cause as much alarm to anyone as much as they did me. I go white with fear (which is ironic, because I'm about as dark as their clothing) and I retreat into the safety of my own home. There are suspicious looking men in my front yard, and I don't know why. Then, they ring my doorbell.

My first thought is to just ignore the door. They will see that no one is home and leave. But I have to get to school, unless I want my mother to ground me for being late. So I walk up to the door and look in the peephole. I shout, "Who is it?"

One of them answers in a deep, dark voice, "It is the Organization! Open up or we'll have to force our way in!"

If there is one thing that I hate, it's being threatened. I reply, "Well then you'll just have to force your way in bastards!" And with that, I run into my room and gather my arsenal of weapons. I put my second of the set of wooden bokkens on the bed. I put the other two wooden swords I own on the bed. I put my nunchucks on my side. Finally, I put my one and only real sword on my back. I won't use the real one right away. But it's there, just in case.

I hear a loud bang on the front door and then I hear the man from earlier say, "Keyblade weilder! Show yourself!" His footsteps echo in the hall. With every footfall, I prepare myself to swing. When he nears the door, I swing to the right, catching the man in his side. He jumps back in fear of getting hit and then looks baffled, just as I do. My wooden bokken blade went clean through him without leaving so much as a mark on him. My blade went through him as if he were a ghost. I then break into a cold sweat out of sheer reluctance of what I have to use next. I reach in back of me and I ready my deadly weapon in a defensive position. I have to resort to my last stand. I really don't want to become a murderer. It's against my moral standing.

The man looks at my weapon and looks back at his partner, who seems to be examining the battle without interruption. "Your feeble scrap of metal won't do a thing to me, just as your stick hasn't done anything." It's then that I look at the man's weapons. He wields a pair of what appears to be a pair of laser blades. This isn't good, I think to myself.

He comes at me with his blades, intent to kill in his eyes. I get scared and duck rather than try to block with my sword. He misses my head by an inch, but he catches the side of my hair. I hear my hair sizzle and watch the dust that was my hair hit the ground. This is SOOOOO not good, I think to myself frantically.

I go for another attempt to hit the mysterious man with my sword. The blade makes an undeniable connection sideways through his heart. I have a little feeling of euphoria, as I believe I finished the battle with my death-delivering blow. I then feel defeat, as I realize my blade did the same thing as it did earlier. It only went through him as if he were a ghost.

The man turns around with a smirk, and he kicks me on my back. He places one of his black boots on my chest and pins me to the ground with his seemingly inhuman strength. "Keyblade weilder, I wish that you would stop playing games and show me what your true potential is," he says with a sigh. He looks annoyed with me for not putting up a good fight. This idea has me seething, the fact that he sees me as a weakling. Then, I think of my family and how they'd feel about my death. It's at this point that something in me makes me flood with boiling rage.

I feel my body rise in temperature. The floor starts to singe, and my clothes smell as though they are starting to burn. Then, the sword that was an African sword I got as a souvenir from a year old trip turns into a mysterious key shaped flame sword. The man is off of me, stepped back in satisfaction and fear of my increasing power. I feel so heated, but oddly enough, the heat feels soothing to me. I stand to my feet and the man utters three words, "The Keyblade's power!"

I charge forward, somehow knowing what I'm going to do with my newfound blade. I lunge forward with a downward swipe, fire trailing my blade's arcs in the air. It slices the man in half, and this time, I know that I have affected him. He disappears in a cloud of darkness before me. I did it. I finally killed him. Wrong again.

The man appeared behind me with his partner and tells him that they must go with the data they've collected. They disappear in a portal of darkness and like that, they're gone. All that's left in my house's hallway is a singed floor, a few chunks of destroyed plaster on the wall, my new fire blade that resembles a key, and a boy in a burned up school uniform who's flames on his body are diminishing by the second. I hadn't realized what the man was calling me while I cleaned until I put away the blade. I then realized that I wasn't going to be able to live this normal life for long as I left out for school in a new uniform.
