The next day
The day seemed like it would never end, I sat in class not even paying attention. I looked beside me and saw an empty desk, a desk that used to belong to Rei. The pain I felt in my chest was un bearable. I felt this pain when Kou died and now again. I never want to feel this pain ever again. After school I went to the pool. There was no practice I just wanted to be alone and think. Rei I am so sorry! I wish that you were still here. Nagisa is so devastated he didn't even show up for school today. I was contemplating if I should even show up. Rei if you are hearing this I want you to know that we all miss you and things will never be the same without you!" Just as I was finishing up my thought I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around and saw Haru. "Hey Haru, how are you?" he sat down beside me and put his feet in the water like me. "better, I'm still hurting, but I will get better. How about you?" I looked down at the water "the exact same as you." He looked at the water and smiled. I rested my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes "it's just so hard, I feel so bad for Nagisa. he was better friends with Rei then all of us combined." Haru nodded "I know it's tough for him but Nagisa is tough and I know he will get better we just have to give him some time. But i'm more worried about how you are." I smiled a bit, that felt nice "i'm doing better and I know I will be ok with all of you guys here for me" I look into Haru's beautiful blue eyes and take a deep breath "thanks for being here for me Haru." He smiled and looked at me "no problem."
