The Other Beta Werewolves

Chapter 1

Vanessa's Pov
Driving to our new house is way more difficult then I'd thought it'd be,luckily I had all my belongings so I wouldn't be to homesick.
I was really happy to move because Nathan and I's parents are such train wrecks that I am pretty sure they had such a hang over that they couldn't even hear us make our way out of the house.
It's been him and I as long as I remember, Nathan is kind of like a jock every girl wants to be with him,except he tends to push everyone away,including me. He rarely speaks on a daily basis only if I push him to,but I still love him because he's my brother.
As I drive the car I notice him looking in the photo album of the family during special occasions and some of our most precious memories.
"I love you,you know that right?" I said as he glanced at me with a smile. "Ya I know,I love ya to sis" Nathan replied as he messed up my hair by ruffling it up continuously with his hand. "Thanks" I chuckled sarcastically as I pull the car into the driveway of our new house.
When we both got unbuckled we headed inside and unpacked,still amazed of the room,I decide to make dinner. As I finished cooking some steak,potatoes and adding some fresh salad on the side I set the nice black wooden dinner table with the food. "Dinner!"I yelled to Nathan as he ran down quickly. "Sweet,thanks" he said smiling while stuffing his face. "Your welcome" I replied as I stuffed my face as well.
"Hey maybe tomorrow you can try out for lacrosse,you did say you like to play it" I said,trying to start a conversation. "Ya,maybe" he said nodding his head while glancing up at me. I smiled as he finished eating his dinner and washed the dishes. Afterwards I went to my new room and plopped down onto my bed,pulling the covers over me and falling into a very conferable sleep.

The Next Day
Nathan's Pov
"Wake up sis it's time to get ready for school"  I said shaking Vanessa as it was 6:00 in the morning. "Okay" Vanessa said calmly getting up and getting clothes out of the drawers and heading towards the bathroom to take a shower. As I was already ready I went down to the living room and waited on the couch for 15 minutes straight thinking about school. A couple minutes later I heard Vanessa coming down the stairs as I turn to face her I spotted her happy as can be.

Vanessa's Pov
"Morning" I greeted wearing my jean shorts,white t-shirt,grey cardigan and my white converse,along with my hair already up in a pony tail and curled with a little make up.
"Morning,ready to go?" Nathan asked as I simply nodded and we headed to the car with our back packs and everything we needed for school.
While Nathan drove it was kind of silent,although when some minutes passed by we talked about lacrosse and how he and I may just try out for it together.
When we arrived to school it was basically bazar but luckily we did eventually get our schedules and headed to lacrosse practice to tryout which I was excited for,well,kind of anyways.
"You nervous?" Nathan chuckled as I looked at him a nodded slowly."You bet ya I am,you?" I asked. "Nah,not really" he replied as we got out on the field to meet and greet the coach. "Hey, Coach Finstock" I said as he stared at me uncomfortably. "Who are you?" Coach Finstock asked looking at both of us. "This is Nathan and I am Vanessa were new" I replied as he nodded. While he started to tell us to get on the field I couldn't help notice three guys staring at us. One with a crooked jawline with blackish brown hair which looked kind of confused and so did the white brown haired guy next to him. The kid on the left of both of them with the big blue eyes seemed nervous which made me nervous as well.
When we got on the field it was Nathan's turn and he got the ball in the net once and failed the two other times he had done it. Once when some other kids did it and it was my turn I got it in the net all times and for the second time I almost missed but I didn't. I noticed only a couple minutes afterwards that Nathan was no where to be seen which made me slightly confused.  After class had finished I felt as if I was being watched as when the feeling stopped I was already in the class room that the new teacher had been teaching today. Today's class was quite easy although we do have some homework which I can get done,I still wanted to make sure Nathan was okay though.
When I had to walk home because Nathan was my ride and he was know where to be seen,I felt an urge to run when I felt a breeze slide down my spine which made me feel uneasy. I opened the door to my house once I reached it and headed inside only to find Nathan sleeping on the couch like a douche. It was only midnight when I noticed that I forgot my homework at school which was due tomorrow so I snuck out the door and started to walk to the school,I would of brought the car but Nathan hid the car keys. When I reached the school and headed inside to my locker I heard a large screech against the lockers almost like the sound of nails on a chalk board getting closer. I started to get more scared each time it got closer and ran out of the building with my homework. As soon as I reached out side I took a breath and started walking back when all of a sudden my life flashed before my eyes and my arm was bleeding terribly, a large bite had been took in out of it and I was laying on the ground. I slowed my breathing down as when a heavy breath was huffing above my head like a wild animal. It was the only thing keeping me from getting up and start running. As it slowly walked away I got up and ran home as fast as I could.
When I got home I went to the bathroom and sewed it up as I wiped off all the dried blood and went into my room to get dressed into my pajamas,relieved of how Nathan is not awake which I was happy about.
When still in pain I did my homework and then went to bed still shocked and thinking of what that animal could have been that had bit me. When I woke up I got clothes and went to shower when I noticed that my arm was better in fact nothing was there which led me to think it was just a dream. I took a nice hot shower and got dressed into my grey sweatshirt black leggings and my grey adidas.
I walked down stairs to find the guy who had ignored me yesterday,Nathan sitting on the couch. "Hey" I said as he turned to me and didn't say anything at all. When we headed out the door he drove us to school which led to a quiet drive. I got out of the car and headed inside the school when we arrived. As I spot those guys again,but this time talking to my brother I get a little suspicious of maybe that's why he's acting weird.
In lacrosse practice I noticed that Nathan was more aggressive because when that white brown haired guy,Styles blocked Nathan's ball he got mauled. When I pulled Nathan off of Styles with the black haired guy,Scott and the smaller blue eyed guy Liam's help. "Calm down" Scott said to Nathan. All Nathan did was just try to pull away from our grip.
"Stilinski!" Coach Finstock yelled "McCall pull him off of the field!". "Okay coach!" Styles yelled back at him. As I helped them pull Nathan off the field into the boys locker room ,I don't think they noticed I was even there. "Okay calm down Nathan or your going to change" Scott said quickly holding him back. Next thing I new Nathan's eyes started glowing bright yellow,fangs growing,he was now the unthinkable and for that I was scared. "What the?" I said as I stepped back nervously. "Oh,great" Styles said holding him back as well as the others. Nathan started trying to charge at me out of his grip and I didn't know what to do but hug him,so I did I gave him a big hug which eased and calmed him down. When they had let go of him they left the room as I was still holding on him. "It's going to be okay" I said rubbing his back clutching him tighter "it is okay". "Vanessa I can't be,I don't want to hurt anybody,how am I going to do this,what if I-" Nathan said as I cut him off. "Listen Nathan I am your sister and I won't let anything happened to you,we will get through this" I reassured him. "But-" said Nathan as he got cut off by his own tears bursting out and crying on to my shoulder. "How did this happen Nathan?" I asked him as he leaned back. "Um,yesterday a-after school I got attacked,Scott is the l-leader and has the p-pack he is going to find who did this to me,I got bit V-Vanessa" Nathan said stuttering. "I'm sorry this happened" I said giving him a kiss on the top of his head.
Once Nathan calmed down we went to next period and I helped him with his math. After a few more periods had past and I got to turn in my homework,school was over for the day and I told Nathan to head home with out me,mostly because I want to have a word with Scott and his friends.
When I spotted them in a jeep I ran right over to them,to quickly if I do say so myself. "Hey guys" I said as they turned to face me. "Hey" Scott said as Styles just nodded. "Listen,about earlier,you mind telling me what's going on maybe fill in the gaps" I preferred as they nodded and I got in the car. "So what do you want to know?" Scott asked curiously. "What are you and my brother,are there others?" I simply replied. "Yes they're others and your brother ,and I are werewolves" he replied nervously. As soon as the word werewolf was spoken my stomach clenched as if getting punched in my stomach.
"So they're real?" I asked as I was sure that animal that had bit me was one and maybe the same one who bit Nathan but I couldn't be sure I don't even know if I am one or not. "Yes"Scott replied as Styles pulled the car into the driveway of what seemed to be Styles house.
"So the whole full moon things real?" I asked thinking of what would happen on a full moon. "Yes which means we have to luck your brother up on a full moon which is tonight,are you cool with that?" Styles replied.
"Yes as long as I come as well" I said as we were already in Style's room. As I sat on Style's bed I could smell not a normal smell but an emotion,fear. "Are you scared Scott?" I asked not knowing why I asked that for. "Ya I guess the thought of another Alpha coming to beacon hills and turning people into the supernatural creature I am, gives me a sick feeling" Scott replied as his voice cracked a little. "I know what you mean" I said back "anyways I should probably go,told Nathan I'd be home in a minute". "Bye" Scott said as Styles sat there in silence on his computer "see you at school. "Bye,see ya tomorrow" I replied as I walked down stairs to find also know as the sheriff. "Hey out and walked home. Once I arrived home,dinner was cooked which was sweet of Nathan to do. I stuffed my face with macaroni and cheese which he had made and then cleaned the dishes. When I finished I spotted Nathan sleeping in his room as I went up the stairs. "We're going to get through this" I whispered giving him a kiss on the forehead and turning the light off which wasn't off when I came home.
I left his room and went to mine and fell asleep softly.

The Next Day
Nathan's POV
Since I already woke up Vanessa,I decided to get some homework done. When I was on the last problem I was stuck,that's when it seemed as if I heard everyone in the neighborhood. My head started to ache and all theses voices and sounds started rushing in and I am starting to think this is a side effect for being a werewolf. As I screamed I felt feverish warm hands go on my ears. As soon as the hands uncovered my ears the noises went away. "Vanessa?" I said as I looked up to a sick pale girl that has blood dripping from her nose.

Vanessa's POV
"Are you okay?" I asked Nathan,worried about him. "I am now,are you okay?" Nathan said with a fearful voice. "Ya, why wouldn't-" I replied as I cut myself off when I felt my nose dripping. As I slid a figure under my nose and looked at my hand it was bloody, my nose started to bleed worse which made me feel light headed. Feeling light headed I soon lost my balance and fell,nearly hitting the ground Nathan caught me and we headed to the car. "Where are we going?" I asked feeling pain everywhere for some reason. "Scott's place" he replied back buckling himself and I in the car seats. When we arrived we rushed in Scott's house leading a woman to barge up in front of us. "Put her on the couch and hurry!" The woman said as she rushed to get some of what looked like supplies from a hospital. As he set me down I was starting to wheeze,almost as if I was having an asthma attack,which was weird since I haven't had one of those for a year now. When my eyes started getting heavy and was about to go to sleep I caught a glimpse of Scott coming in as everything went black. I can hear myself breathing in a dark hollow place,very thing echoed yet it seemed as if I lost my voice. I can hear the animals breathing again but closer I don't know where I am but I don't think I'm alone either. Am I dying? Is this the end? What's happening?

Nathan's POV
"What's happening to her?!" I yelled as tears streamed down my face. "She's dying, which is why we are not going to let her" Melissa,Scott's mom said with a believable expression on her face. "Scott,hand me the those so I can revive her" Melissa ordered as Scott did what she had ordered and I stepped away as they shocked her three times and nothing happened as soon as I knew it I ran from the room outside to take a breath. I can't lose her,she's the only family I have,the only family that has been there for me. "Nathan" Scott said calmly from behind as I turned to face him. "I can't lose her" I said in an angry tone. As Scott hesitated for a moment he finally spoke, "she's waking up" Scott continued "go,she needs you".

Vanessa's POV
Gasping for a lot of air I soon found myself breathing again as I was glad I wasn't in that cold scary dark place anymore. I glance over to a relieved woman I assume is Scott's mother since he does live here. "Thank you Mrs.McCall" I say grabbing her hand lightly as she got up. "Please,call me Melissa sweetie" she replied smiling happily. As soon as I new it a set of arms wrapped around me,it was Nathan. Kissing me gently on my fore head he leans back. "Don't scare me like that again,okay" Nathan said as tears fell down his face. "It's okay,I'm okay" I said as I hugged him tighter and let go slowly. Getting up off the couch slowly I spot Scott walking in. "Thank you Melissa and thank you Scott" I said,then giving Scott a hug as he embraced it. "I'm glad your-" Scott said as he soon stopped and looked confused at me. "What" I asked confused as well looking at everyone. "Your eyes" Nathan said nervously "they're glowing yellow like mine do". "What?!" I said my voice cracking because I know why. "It's going to be okay" Scott reassured knowing I needed reassuring right now. As I took very deep breaths I felt an urge leave my body. "Are my eyes glowing now?" I asked nervously and curious. "No" Nathan and Scott said in sync with each other as they both glanced at each other when Melissa started leaving the room. "Let's deal with this tomorrow" Nathan said staring at Scott and Scott nodded shortly after that. When we left Scott's house and went home,I quickly went to my room and plopped onto my bed exhaustingly,realizing after these few days and how much has happened,there's no going back.
