Episode 23 2/2

Byakuren's P.O.V.

    "Why the hell was there a barrier in the our territory at night time?" Toothpaste guy asked with an irritated expression. We were all in the throne room where the 3 princes sat with their royal guards linefbup to their left and King Arthur with Gara was at their right while me, Jun, Zero and the other two younger prince were in front of him. "Because we were hunting!" Jun said with a fake smile that almost looked real if you didn't notice his trembling hands. Who wouldn't be scared? Toothpaste guy created laws that had terrifying punishments. Anyone who lies to the king will be executed or exile. "Is it necessary for a barrier to be created to catch a prey?" Ice joined in making my hand cold.

Even though it's so damn hot, I could feel the coldness that Ice is giving me.

"Yes. Of course." Zero said calmly, not affected by his presences. Must have gotten used to it. "Don't tell me there was a wild animal that may have got a hold of your jaw without ripping your head of your body." Toothpaste guy said while clenching his jaws.

Crap. How to get out of this mess.

  "It was my fault, your highness. I mistook Princess Byakuren for an attacker and held her jaw tightly. I was confused because a group of men attacked me and my brother." Prince Luther said and then kneeled down as a sign of apology. Toothpaste guy frowned, not satisfied with the answer and still has suspicion but moved on and ordered the guards to bring Prince Luther to jail which made my eyes widened. "Toothpaste idiot! Why are you gonna bring him to jail when it was just mere confusion!" I shouted while moving in front of Prince Luther and shooed away the guards holding his wrists. "There is no one allowed to touch you, at all like that even though it is an accident. Your skin is already turning purple, indicating he must have held you too hard. He would only be in jail for 1 week." Toothpaste idiot said and then ordered the guards to bring him to jail area and Prince Luther didn't resist.

This is all my fault. I should have made a better excuse. Damn it.

 

  "You may all leave, aside from strawberry and Ren and Ice. " Toothpaste idiot said and everyone left. I look down on the floor, avoiding eye contact with everyone. Silence filled the room. "So, tell me how they were attacked." Ren said in a calm voice. I put my hands behind my back to hold my right hand that was trembling in anger. "Star Academy students has attacked them out of no where in search for someone. Based on what they said. They don't know who though. We just found their carriage during our mini hunting trip." I said in a calm voice. The three then nodded and then moved to discussing about the blood compact.

Next day~~~~~~

   I went down to the dungeon secretly wearing my long white cloak and the crown on my head while my violet hair with purple tips was braided to my right side while my bangs were free. I wore in the inner part a sleeveless red shirt that was Luke a mini dress and had a gold belt separate the mini skirt that was above my knee and the upper shirt. Then I wore a red pants with brown boots and the gloves that covered half of my arm and had a ring finger. I put the cloak over my head so no one would notice me. The guards weren't in the dungeon by this time since I secretly ordered them to.

   I saw Prince Luther sitting on the ground of haystack still wearing the same clothes when we found him. He looked at me while narrowing his eyes. "Who are you?" He asked making me roll my eyes. Seriously. I put down my hood and gave him a small smile which he returned. "I didn't know you had beautiful red violet eyes." He commented and  stood up then dust off the haystack from his clothes. "So what's the princess doing here in this filthy dungeon or jail area?" Prince Luther asked while holding the bars. I looked down then bowed half way. "I'm really sorry for causing the trouble. I didn't mean to not tell that toothpaste idiot. I just don't want him to know that I was attacked by the co workers of my brother or else his hatred towards him will grow deeper." I said and then stood up properly with a sad smile. He gave me a small smile as well and then put his hands in my cheek which made my eyes widened.

   "I forgive you. Your eyes reflects your soul. I know its saddening to let one of your friends hate your own brother. But, let me ask you.... Is your brother doing the right thing? Letting his co workers attacking out of no where." Prince Luther said in a soothing voice. I frowned. "He isn't in control of his co workers.. My father is. And I don't consider toothpaste idiot my friend. Never." I said and then moved away and bowed. "I have to go to the blood compact ceremony. I will request one of my royal knights to let you out 10 minutes before the ceremony to change and watch for 20 minutes the ceremony. Okay?" He nodded in reply and I left the jail area.

    I went inside a room I haven't discovered yet before and there was 5-6 guards guarding it. I heard a laughter and all. King Arthur stood beside me without Gara. Once we were in front of the door the guards nodded at each other. "Let us welcome!  The two people who form the truce!" The guard shouted and at the same opened the door and I felt very nervous. The room contained a large and long table in the middle and at the other side is where the 2 large chairs are and 1 smaller chair where toothpaste idiot stood and 2 other smaller chairs were Ren and Ice stood. My hands then tstarted trembling.  A lot of people which includes the council of magic, the physicians, court herbalist, knights, advisors and other guests from the Crest Nation are starring at me and Arthur, I can't help it! Plus its awfully quiet.

  Me and Arthur slowly enter the room and went to the two big chairs were there was two golden cup with water inside it, and there was a golden gem dagger beside each cup. As we sat down everyone clapped and then sat down as well. I spotted Prince Luther hiding behind a pillar with Zero guarding him. "As it goes, the two must let their blood drip on each other's  goblin and drink it." The attendant said making me almost turn green. Me and Arthur then got the golden dagger with gems then both cut our right palm, and I carefully cut mine since my gem was in my right palm. Then we both let our blood drip on each other's goblin and then drink. My tongue refused but I forced it.

Damn, this is so disgusting. Yuck.

  When we both put down the goblin, everyone clapped and the servants started serving a lot of food. "So how did it taste strawberry ?" He whispered in my ear without anyone noticing. They were all busy chit chatting and eating food. I rolled my eyes. "Of course it tasted awful, toothpaste idiot." I said and then cut a need and put it in my mouth. I heard him chuckle making me frown. "Toothpaste idiot? I thought it was toothpaste guy." He said and started eating and chatting with Corin and Charice. They seem awfully close. Especially Corin. How?
