Hunger

I wandered around the town, hungrily. My eyes were burning a demonic bright pink, so I had to keep my face turned down. As I walked, I scanned every person that passed me, looking for souls to devour. Different types of people have different flavored souls to me. Prideful souls taste savory. Lying souls taste sweet. The only type that tastes bitter to me are the really girly souls.
I scanned each person I passed for two hours, before catching a beautiful, savory scent. I quickly searched all around me for the source of the smell. 'It's not nearby... I'll have to follow it.'
I followed the scent to a big, beautiful mansion. 'There's about...6 souls inside.' I noticed, sneaking around to where the scent was coming from. I quietly jumped up to a window and peeked inside. In the office behind a wooden desk, sat a small boy with gray-blue hair. He was signing papers that seemed to be important. 'Wow. Smart kid. So this is where that lovely scent is coming from...' I though as I reached slowly for the latch.
Suddenly, the door to his office burst open so I quickly retreated into the darkness beside the window, out of sight. I peeked inside to see that a small, pink frilly creature had bounded into the room. "Ciel! Come put on this new outfit that I bought for you! I'm sure it would make you look just absolutely adora-"
"Elizabeth, go home. I do not have time for your nonsense today." the boy growled, "I've got too many papers to sign and many things to read."
The girl, whose name I now knew was Elizabeth, sniffled. "Wh-Why are you always so harsh to me.... F-Fine! I'll leave you alone!" She cried, running out of the room, slamming the door shut behind her.
'Now's my chance!' I thought, reaching for the latch once more. But yet again, the door opened, so I retreated to the dark. 'This isn't going to work unless I get into the mansion undetected somehow....' I thought. I grinned when an idea popped into my brain. I jumped down and hurried around the side of the mansion, where Elizabeth was crying. I walked up to her slowly, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "What ever is the matter?" I asked her, smiling.
She wiped at the tears in her eyes. "C-Ciel is my fiance, a-and he's always so a-angry, and t-told me to leave! He won't even spend t-time with me~!" she sobbed.
I shook my head. "I'm so sorry." I thought for a moment before smiling again. "Maybe I could help you out."
The girl lit up like a Christmas tree. "Really?! But we don't even know each other!"
I smiled, holding out my hand. "My name is (F/n)."
She giggled and shook my hand. "I'm Elizabeth, but you can call me Lizzy." She gasped. "Are you an experienced maid?!"
I thought for a moment and grinned. "Why yes."
She pulled me towards the carriage that was sitting near the front door. "Come on! my dad's been looking for a new maid anyways! I'm sure he'd like to meet you!"
I smiled to myself. 'Perfect. The little girl fell right into my trap.'

After a LONG carriage ride of Lizzy telling me everything there is to know about her, I stood in the master's office as he asked me questions. "Who was your last employer?"
"The Smith family. They lived in America. Sadly, they all passed on in an explosion while I was out..." I answered, looking down at my face, trying to act sad.
The master folded his hands. "I am sorry for your loss." He straightened a few papers. "Well. You do seem very qualified for the job. I will have a room set for you as well as your maid uniform."
A butler knocked and entered the room, handing me the uniform. I nodded a thank you before following him down the hallway to the bathroom to get changed. 'Step one: infiltrate the little girl's home, is complete.' I smirked to myself, closing the door to the bathroom to get changed.
