Ciel slowly opened his eye. "Wh-Where am I?" He rubbed the blurriness out of his blue eye and looked around. He was on a giant chess board. He looked around and saw that he was the king of his set of pieces. He looked across the board and saw the king and queen from your set. The queen was facing backwards. Laughing, she turned around. It was you. "How did you not see this move, Ciel?" You asked, pulling a gun out from behind you. "I wanted to make your loss a little more exciting." You said, taking a pistol and walking across the board towards one of Ciel's pieces. "W-What are you doing?!" he asked. You touched the piece and it turned into a person. It was Inspector Abberline. He turned and looked at Ciel and smiled. "Ciel!" The boy's eyes grew wider. "I-Inspector?!"You smirked and walked behind him. "Aww, it's such a happy moment, isn't it? Finally re-united!" You held the gun up to his head. "But I've just jumped your piece, Ciel."
The gunshot rang over the board and the Inspector fell to the ground, disappearing. 'Only five pieces left.' you thought, and you turned to Ciel, smiling. "It's your turn. There should be a gun in your pocket, should you get the chance to jump one of my pieces." Ciel was shaking. "U-Um... I-If you're there..." Ciel stuttered, thinking out loud. He pointed at one of his pieces. "I want to move that one to there!" He said. The piece glowed and came to life. It was Madam Red. She walked across the board to the spot he pointed at, and smiled at Ciel. "Good move." Ciel could feel tears prick at the back of his eyes. You laughed and pointed at a spot on the board. "King, move there." The king didn't change, but moved across the board. 'If all of my pieces are people from my life,' Ciel thought, staring at the king, 'Then who is her king?'
"It's your turn again, Ciel" You said, growing a little impatient. Ciel pointed at his queen and a spot. "You, go there." The piece glowed and changed into Lizzie. She was dressed in a frilly pink dress, as usual. She skipped over to her spot and waved to Ciel. 'No...' Ciel thought, 'I can't allow Lizzie to get hurt!' You laughed. "You were so caught up with trying to figure out who all of the pieces were that it clouded your judgment! You didn't notice something, fatally important!" You walked over to Madam Red and held your gun up to her head. Madam Red smiled at Ciel, tears falling from her cheeks. "Ciel....I-" Before she could speak, you pulled the trigger and she fell to the ground, disappearing. "Your turn, Ciel." You smirked. Lizzie looked horrified but she turned to Ciel with a smile.
"You can do this, Ciel!" Ciel thought for a moment, then pointed at another piece. "Y-You...move over there." He stuttered, scared of who the piece might be. The piece glowed and split into two people holding hands. It was his parents. Ciel started to feel sick to his stomach. "M-Mother! Father!" They didn't speak, but smiled at him as they walked over to the square that he pointed at. You snapped your fingers. "King, over there." You said. The king moved, but again didn't change. Ciel noticed that if he moved his parents, they would die to your king. Not sure if he could watch them die again, he pointed to Lizzie. "Elizabeth, move over there." He said. She pouted, "Call me Lizzie!" and she stomped over to her spot. You frowned and walked over and stood in front of her. You gave her an evil glare, and turned to Ciel. "Why did you do that, I wonder? Because now, you have a choice." You taunted. And then it dawned on Ciel. He had walked right into your trap. Now he had to decide which person he was going to save. His fiancé. Or his Parents. A tear fell down Ciel's cheek.
