Today the verse is about greediness.
Then he said, "Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by what you own."
-Luke 12:15
This is telling us that we should not care if we can't buy new clothes every day, or if everyone has the most expensive cell phone but you. We should treasure what we already own. Like we have a bed, where as some kids our age don't. We have food. Plenty of countries are starving. We have clothing, if not the greatest, some people walk around in sewed rays because they just can't afford it. Like Africa, if is a 3rd world. They don't have running water, they don't have a tv, or a cell phone, or even a comfy bed. Just because everyone has it at school, or in your neighborhood, does not mean you need it!
Dear Lord,
Thank you for today. Today I will try to not feel greed. I will stay happy with what I have, and not want what others have. Thank you for entering the hearts of millions, I ask you today to enter millions more. Please protect us, and help us understand that you are always with us and you are happy with what we have, so we should be happy too. Thank you, Lord.
In your name we pray,
Amen.
