On that Day...

It all started with a smile. Not just any smile, but the most dazzling, beautiful smile that Jess had ever laid her sparkling green/blue/gray eyes on. It was the smile of Jess' friend, Tony. He was so gorgeous.. He had big blue eyes, shining blonde hair, and a set of washboard abs that would make Kim Kardashian jealous, if Jess would let Kim Kardashian near him. Jess wasn't sure if she was in love with Tony.

Tony Regartio (pronounced Re-gar-shee-oh) was a perfect boy that Jess had met up with one day during French class. She was bored with her life and he was the spark that kept her interested in living. She was enchanted, and pulled into his loving essence. He wrote her music that told her how beautiful she was, and how God was saving her soul for someone extra special. "Jessica Jones," he sang, looking deep into her soul with those beautiful baby blues, "you are so perfect. Don't you ever think differently. It doesn't matter how anyone else looks at you, or what they think of you, because I think you are so beautiful, so amazing, so perfectly you, that anyone else is just instantly envious of your beauty." Everyone turned to stare at the two of them, but Jess didn't care.

He used her full name. People only use Jess' full name when they're dead serious, except for Tony, who is the only one that Jess ever lets call her Jessica. But Tony couldn't have been serious, because no one thinks anything like that of Jessica. Not even Jess felt that way. She wishes so much, every single day, that she could be more beautiful, and more confident, but she just can't. Jess often wonders if Tony likes her, then she remembers what she looks like, and who she is, and all of her hopes and dreams are dashed to a million pieces. It's not like she ever thought that she was pretty. She knew she was fat, ugly, annoying, rude, disgusting, and weird. It was her fault that none of her relationships had never lasted longer than about a week. She was the worst girlfriend that a boy could ever have.

To make things worse, Jess was curious about things she shouldn't be curious about. She was curious if she was gay, not that she thought it was a bad thing, but her parents, church, and friends would all disown her. Except for Tony. Jess knew Tony would never leave her. Never. But she couldn't help wondering if he was attracted to her. He's so sweet, and flirty, and she likes him.... A Lot. They were inseperable, Tony and Jess. Jess' friend Ashton even gave them a ship name.

(For those of you non-fandom people, a ship is when you want two people in a relationship together. A ship name is the two names put together to refer to the ship easier.)

When Tony and Jess are together, which is always, Ashton calls them Jony. He gets a kick out of making Jess uncomfortable around Tony, because he knows that she likes him. Ashton knows all of Jess' secrets, because not so long ago, Ashton was Jess' boyfriend. She had liked him so much, and trusted him so much, that she told him everything. Later, Jess had realized how big of a mistake she had made trusting him, and she broke it off, causing Ashton to go on a rampage of hate and tell everyone what she did in private, who she had a crush on in 8th grade, and who she thought was the hottest guy in the school. Ashton was lucky that Jess was even talking to him.

Jess, realizing that she was staring at Tony again while she was thinking, flinched backwards so far that she fell backwards in her chair. Ashton laughed so hard that he fell over as well, and Tony went to grab Jess and make sure she was okay. Ashton, being as self-centered as he is, yelled at Tony, "What about me?!"

Tony replied calmly, "You fell over laughing at Jess, while Jess could have seriously hurt herself."

The look of shock on Ashton's face, was comical to Jess, and she fell out of Tony's arms laughing. When she fell, she let out an agonizing scream, which had Tony scared out of his mind. Even Ashton looked worried, and for a good reason. Falling out of Tony's arms had really hurt Jess. The sharp shooting pain in her left hip was excruciating.
