Will you marry me?

The big day

Today's the big day.the day both john and Jessica have been waiting for. It's been planning the whole week long. John was renting a suit for the wedding and ordering the food for the wedding day. Jess was getting her dress, the music and the decoration in order. She had her friends to help her around. Since John had no one Jess's father helped him around. He explained to her father the future he had for Jess. It's actually surprising that they got along really well. After wards they went home.  The next day everyone got up really early. It was the big day. They checked for the last time if everything was in order but they forgot the most important thing, THE CAKE! John raced to the bakery and tried his best to get a cake in order but.... it wasn't possible to get one before noon. He figured it's better to have a small cake than nothing at all. So he settled with a small cake. It was noon and things were about to change for both of them. The place was crowded even a few of John's colleague's were there. He got a bit nervous because he was never used to such a big crowd. He took a deep breath and went to the altar. Music was playing. We were waiting for Jess to come out now. After two minutes she came out. She looked amazing as always, but today she was extra beautiful.  Just before the priest was about to begin Jessica fell to her knees and started to cry. John got her up and said, love are you feeling well? She turned her face away. The crowd started murmuring. What could be wrong now? She looked at John and told him a close friend of hers, Kenneth his grandmother had passed away and needed someone to comfort him. John sighed. It's okay you can go to him. We can always get married another time. A friend took her away as she made her way to Kenneth. The crowd got even louder, thinking she won't marry him. Jess's father calmed the crowd down but after a while they got noisy again. John whistled out loud. People please there is a bit of a delay. You may have a drink, eat some cake and enjoy the music. To be honest he was really disappointed he had to cancel the wedding. After all that he had to go trough this is what he gets. He knew it was for a greater good. Took a chair and sat outside. One of Jessica's friend, bunny followed him. She smiled and said : sup? Great wedding man. John laughed and playfully pushed her. She's got something to do he said. I can't keep her from her friend. I'm not that selfish. It's just.... I'm afraid i might lose her to someone else. Bunny looked him mad at him, do you even know how much she loves you! She's my best friend, she won't do that. Got up and screamed BAKA!  It was taking long so John got back inside and announced that the wedding has been canceled. He didn't even get a piece of cake. He thanked Jess's parents and went home. He was in a sad mood. But along the way he saw the boats and remembered the time at his grandparents.  Got home and threw his car keys at the ground and went to bed. Just when he was about to fall asleep his phone rang. He picked up with a sleepy voice, yes this is John. It was Jess. She asked him to come over at the dock. He looked at the time and got up slowly. Okay love I'll be there in a few min. The next chapter will tell the surprise.
