Chapter. 1

Gwen's POV

"Exactly what are you talking about?" I ask resting my chin on my hand. I was in the middle of falling asleep, Trent was lecturing me again about... Oh I don't even remember.

He rubs his temple. "Gwen, are you even paying attention? I said you're being really controlling, it's just getting on my nerves."

I take my head off my chin, placing it on the table. "Excuse me?" I glare at him, his face was already looking annoyed.

"You're kidding right? Controlling? Sorry for caring about you, asshole." I get up from the small café table and try to turn until he grabs my wrist.

"Where are you going, Gwen?"

"Away from here, I'm too "controlling." I wouldn't want to bother you!" I yank my hand away and storm out of the small shop. I can here him screaming for me but I kept walking.

In public!? Seriously, Trent!?

Things were so different back then, he was so sweet and caring and all he wanted to do was make me happy. Now it just feels like he wants something to rub in everyone's face. He doesn't love me, he "loves" the idea of having me.

Ugh maybe everyone was right, he is a psycho...

Courtney's POV

"Duncan? Duncan!?" I snap my fingers in front of his face impatiently.

"Chill Princess, I heard you." He sighs. "We can go to Victoria's Secret but we're going to Spencer's after words okay?"

I huff, "you can go in there by yourself. That place is too care-free and disgusting for me."

"Everything is." He rolls his eyes.

"Excuse me!?" I can feel my face turning red.

"You don't like anything fun, everything I try getting you to do it's always a no! I don't like that, I don't like this, that place is too weird, it's not clean enough there. All you do is nag!"

He mimics it in a "feminine" voice.
"Ugh, screw you Duncan! Go ahead and go into your store I'll be here!" I say turning into Victoria's Secret.

Was it really necessary to do that in public!? He used to like my nagging...
