Courtney's POV
It's been about 20 minutes sense me and Duncan went off on different trails. I aggressively grab at the clothes I wanted.
Calm down Court, anger won't get you anywhere.
I just can't believe he acted like that, he promised he'd go shopping with me this weekend without complaining!
Am I doing something wrong with him? He doesn't understand how much I care, does he.I get my clothes and pay, leaving the smell of fresh flowers and other arousing aromas. I didn't bother looking for Duncan so I guess I had free time, I look around cautiously making sure I didn't see anyone I knew. I quickly hustle into Hot Topic looking for a new Ghost Town Tee shirt. My last one got torn while playing a game with Duncan.
And maybe while I'm here I can get some other tees...
Gwen's POV
I couldn't leave the mall because Trent still had the car keys, I wonder if he's still in the little Coffee shop.
Ugh, wondering about him will only piss you off, more. Focus, Gwen.
I notice that I've walked to the complete opposite side of the mall, wow I didn't even realize it until now.
I look up, ironically I was standing in front of what is possibly the best store to ever exist. Hot Topic.
I go in just to browse until I see a certain brunette that I haven't seen in quite some time.
"Courtney?" I say out loud, louder than I wanted to really. She turns her head around looking for whoever called her name.
She notices me, probably from my confused look, or my hair. After all, who else did she know with teal and black hair?
"Gwen!?" She comes walking towards me and I notice her hair has grown a little longer and it looks like more freckles magically appeared on her tan face.
"Yup, it's me, what are you doing here? I thought you moved!" I exclaim excitedly. Me and Courtney were really close back in our freshman years of high school. She moved away at the end of that year though.
"Oh, we just moved back about 2 weeks ago. It was awful not being able to see you guys but I won't lie, not hearing Duncan's constant whining was a blessing."
"But didn't you talk over the phone a lot?" I ask while going through a few different shirts.
"Well yeah but it just wasn't the same." She adds going through the shirts next to me.
"I'm surprised you've put up with him this long! How long has it been, 3 years now?" I grab the 2 shirts I was looking at online the other day. PVRIS and Alice in Wonderland shirts.
"Yeah 3 years." She laughs. "We just got in an argument though..." Her voice trails off as I turn my head. I notice her eyes tear up.
"Court? Courtney are you okay?" I ask grabbing her arm, obviously worried.
"What? Oh yeah I'm okay. Yeah." We walk up to the counter placing our clothes up on it.
"Me and Trent got into a fight, too." I let out a sigh, it seems like all we do is fight now.
"Oh that's terrible, I bet it was way worse then me and Duncan's fight. Trent can be a little over dramatic you know? No offense." She hands the lady her credit card. "I'm paying for all of this." She says winking at me.
I shrug smirking a little, she was always buying me things back in middle school.
I continue our conversation as we walk out with our bags.
"Apparently to Trent I'm too controlling. Ugh can you believe that?" I roll my eyes to emphasize how mad I was.
"Not at all. Duncan thinks I'm too stuck up." I watch her nose scrunch up as she says "stuck up."
"I thought he liked when you argue with him though?" Her eyes dart to the side.
"Me too.." She adds just above a whisper.
Looks like we both have shitty boyfriends.
