When, finally, Jonah was allowed into Angel's room, he sat on the edge of her bed and took her cold hand into his. "I love you," he whispered. "I do; do you still love me? I know this is all my fault and you'll probably never know what I'm saying or even worse -- not even wake up for me to ever be able to tell you anyways... But... I love you, and I'm sorry. I should've done something. I should've acted instead of sitting there paralyzed whole you were hit by that stupid f*cking car!" He wasn't actually yelling, of course, because he was in a hospital, but oh how he weird he'd he could... He wanted to scream out to the world that he didn't like this, that he wouldn't accept it -- he let a single tear fall -- but he couldn't...
"I, um... I found your letters, babe..." he whispered, gripping her hand a little tighter and lifting it up to kiss her knuckles. She was still his princess, he'd later recall. "Dear Future Lover..." he began out loud.
