Q: What gave you the idea or inspiration for Eleanor? What made you give her the talent of knitting?

A: The inspiration for the story came from a late night romp on Tumblr with a feiend, who showed me a post about someone wanting a student who knitted with their wand who knitted scarves and such for students.        Eleanor was inspired after Eleanor Roosevelt for both her namesake and her attitude. She was strong yet never came across as harsh, much like the activist she was named after. While Eleanor Roosevelt wasn't president, she often played a great role in her husband's four terms in office as the first lady.
That's what I wanted for Ellie, I didn't want her to be the all overpowered hero that many often see in fanfics. I wanted her to be known, but I still wanted Harry to be the hero in the end. After all it is Harry Potter we're talking about here. Harry still would have won without Eleanor help, but she helped him in allowing him to keep the support he wouldn't of had! Knitting was given as sort of a connection that would give Eleanor a motherly vibe. She enjoyed knitting which a lot of students her age did not at the time.
She shared in the same hobby that Fed's mother loved giving her that closer bond into the Weasley family. Not to mention those who knit for others spend a great time on their work, the knitting was supposed to reflect that anyone who wore some of her garments were obviously cared for. She loved them enough to spend time knitting something with them in mind.

Q: Your character Marnie is the complete opposite of Eleanor yet they are best friends what do you think makes their friendship work?

A: Marnie was one of my favorite characters to write because many people had different takes on her. They either loved her or hated her. She was outspoken, blunt, childish, rebellious, sarcastic, and sometimes a pain to her friends. But we all have that friend at some point in our lives. The ones that aren't afraid to say what's on our minds.
The ones that annoy the living Hell out of you but at the end of the day, thhey will have your back. Marnie was loyal to Eleanor and the ones she loved until the end,  many disagreed worth me as to why she was in Hufflepuff because she wasn't kind and didn't dedicate herself to hardwork like Eleanor or Cedric. But she loved her friends so deathly that she would have done anything to keep them safe. That's why Eleanor and Marnie worked so well together.
Their family lives weren't the greatest for either of them. Eleanor with no father and a mourners who feared her. Marnie with a family of Ravenclaws who were disappointed that she was hufflepuff.  They connected on different levels that did not have only to do with being in the same house. They were sisters nor by blood but by love.

Q:You are currently working on a second book called Gunpowder and Cinnamon that takes place after Tightly Knit. What should we expect from Eleanor and Fred?

A: With Eleanor and Fred in Gunpowder and Cinnamon you can expect a lot more happy filled moments. The war is over, however, even times after the war has it's dark moments. So expect twists and turns in there as well. Not to mention readers have the wedding to look forward to along with seeing other characters that were tied into the series. It's all about getting thier lives back to normal after a tough war.

Q: The trio in the Harry Potter series is Harry, Ron, and Hermione. In your book you have a trio of Eleanor, Marnie, and Cedric, is there any specific reason you chose to create a trio of your own?

A: With Cedric, Marnie, and Eleanor, I chose atrio mainly because I wanted a sense of having siblings. Growing up with only her mother in the picture did put quite a strain on mother and daughter. Cedric and Marnie were to be her siblings. A brother and a Sister. I only realized after how they were a trio similar to Harry, Ron, and Hermione. The leader, the brains, and the humor. But they all had their shining moments.

Q: Is there and secret or special meaning behind the names or characteristics of your original characters?

A: As I mentioned earlier Eleanor was named after Eleanor Roosevelt.

Marnie was named after looking up a name on a baby Naming website.

Doncho was named after a name I found in a library search when I was looking up immigration documents for my ancestry.

Artemis, I Gave her the name of the goddess is response to the name of the Carrot siblings also having Greek Names. I gave her the name because I envisioned her as a warrior. She had one of the toughest scenarios to face in tightly Knit.

To my fans, I am forever grateful that you take the time to even read the discription of the book, of any of my books.

As a writer, just having someone read your books regardless if it's fan fiction or not, really can make ones day.  I love wattpad and reading comments, answering questions and receiving fan art. An author is only a writer without fans.

So I am just so happy that they share in the experience with me. I love them all! They are the ones that encourage me to write everyday!
