I wake up four hours after I pass out. I am still drowsy from the mess of pills I took the night before but I quickly bolt fully awake when I remember the events of yesterday. I grab my phone off the night stand beside my bed. I click it on, flinch slightly from the brightness, and read the only two messages in my phone. The first one was a good morning from the sick people who stole my only ray of sunshine. The next gave the first of many disgusting/ horrifying  favors I will have to do to earn that sunshine back.
Now that you are awake we will give you your first task to earn Phil. The first task we will give you will be easier and less graphic than the others but it still might cost someone their life. We need you to pick up a box  from the abandoned building beside the closest Starbucks. Do not ask what is in the box or look inside of it. Once you get the box you will drop it off at the location written on it. From there you walk to the library. You will sit in the farthest corner and wait for someone to give future instructions. Good Luck, Danny.
I cringe majorly at the name Danny but decide it is best to ignore it. I jump up from bed and looks in the mirror. My hair is slightly greasy but I don't want to shower due to my current state of being. I pick out an outfit made out of black on black clothing. Once I get dressed in my dark outfit and run a brush through my hair I am off the abandoned building.  Birds swarm around the outside of it like a creepy film but I enter it anyway.
Inside it looks like a graveyard for all the hopes and dreams of the people who once worked at this office building. It sends shivers down, I don't know for sure if it is from the cold air stinging at my body or the uncomfortable feeling of being watched. I spot a pile of boxes and carefully walk toward it.
As I approach the pile of boxes, I notice a box kind of separated from the rest. I walk over to that one and it has a sticky note type thing attached with an address scribbled out on it in purple ink. I pick it up and quickly walk back to my flat. I used to be a really bad kid, stayed out late and stuff like that, but I know now nothing I did in my young years could prepare me for this. I plop on the couch and put my fingers in my curly, brown hair. What the fuck have I gotten into? What the hell is in this box?

I make a sandwich and try to eat something before heading back out to deliver the mysterious package. The stress almost makes me throw it back up but the anger keeps it down. I pick up the heavy ass box and trudge through the city trying to find the right fucking house or building or whatever. After like two hours of walking I finally find it. It doesn't say to knock or just walk in so I knock. No one answers. I feel my pocket vibrate once more:
Just walk in and set the box on the table away from the window.

I look everywhere around me to see no one. Nervously, I crack open the front door and search for the table. The house seems to be only one room but two stories. The walls are painted a bright canary yellow, the furniture was vibrant shades of blue, green, purple, and red. Too happy to be involved with whatever is in this box. I see the table and quickly shuffle toward it. I set the box down and run out of the happy home all the way to maybe the end of the block before a taxi pulls in front of me. No one steps out but the driver who opens the door for me. I know it probably has something to do with the kidnapper, so I enter the vehicle.
The voiceless driver speeds off to the library. I just close my eyes and rest, it's all I can do.
