Over the course of a few days, Hoseok had become addicted to the sleeping pills, it was the only thing that helped him sleep. He had actually gotten some of his misplaced sleep back. Even though during the day, when he would see her, his heart would ache. At least he knew he would be okay during the night. It had been a week now since she last spoke to him, something he started to get used to. Whenever they made eye contact, her eyes would linger. But only for a second. A second was all he needed to feel his heart flutter.
He hated how cold she had become towards him. Not that he blamed her for it. But somehow he knew she wasn't to upset with him. Alice was still trying to process this. It had only been a week, but he grew tired of the wait. How much longer did she need? Shaking his head, he pushed the thoughts away. Someday they would speak to each other again. And someday, he may hold her once again.
Their practice went just like any other. They all worked hard getting their placements right, and their moves in sync with one another. A musk of sweat and heat hovered over the room as they paused to take a break. A few, including Hoseok, lay on the floor. Namjoon, and Suga stood still practicing. But only in small movements. Suga leaned closer to him hoping to Hoseok wouldn't hear his quiet whispers.
"Have you noticed Hobi lately?" He asked.
"Not really, why?" Namjoon replied softly.
"He's been acting differently." He said.
"Now that you mention it." Namjoon started, "He hasn't been his usual bubbly self for the past couple of days."
"I'm concerned." He said, looking to his friend who lay with eyes closed on the floor.
Namjoon looked over to Hoseok as well. Since he was the leader, it was up to him talk to Hoseok and get to the bottom of his behavior. However, he couldn't find the right words. No one could. It was the first time Hoseok had been so down before. Namjoon looked back to Suga, and told him to leave him be for now. Lowering his gaze, Suga nodded.
Placing a hand on his friends shoulder, he tried to reassure him by smiling. However, Suga just shrugged it off. He was genuinely worried about Hoseok. Something he only admitted to himself. Whenever he had seen Hoseok smile, he always felt at ease. Like all was right in the world. With Hoseok acting quiet, the world seemed out of place.
As their day wore on, and their practice continued, Suga kept his eye on Hoseok. Watching his movements, he noticed a touch of aggressiveness in them. Something he had never seen from Hoseok before. This went on for a while. During their afternoon practice, Suga noticed Alice sneak in to talk with the instructor. Looking to Hoseok, he noticed the frustration on his face. She smiled as the instructor talked with her.
Their attention was adverted when they heard a crash. Alice quickly looked to see what happened, and saw Hoseok sitting on the ground, gripping his ankle. Her eyes widened as she saw the pain on his face. Rushing to him, she fell to her knees.
