He retorted "Pfffffffffttt! Ya right!" Pine snickered. "If It did mean something, The Great Marlo would tell us something about it!"

"Or maybe he doesn't want us to know about it..." Flame, dreamily said.

"Oh, get real! The dream was just a fake! A figment of your imagination! Besides, how would you make peace, learn to speak cat?" Gem said frustratedly. Something sparked in Flame's mind. His nose quivered with anticipation.

"Yes! Gem, you're a genius!" Flame exclaimed suddenly, running off to the elders' den.

"Oh, brother." Gem murmured.

"Think he's in too deep already?"

"Oh, definitely."

When Flame got to the elders den, he went to the only elder who had experience with cats. Petal. Petal was a fortune teller, who could see into the future, and she could see into the past, even if she wasn't there. She was also a Healer, which was all important to their tribe. One day when Petal was getting old, she would recruit an apprentice, told from the stars.

"Petal!" Flame exclaimed, skidding in the dirt.

"Aahhh, I've been waiting for you." Petal whispered. "Last night, you weren't the only one to dream. I, too, saw this message. You have come, to learn how to speak cat." How did she know? Flame thought. Suddenly, Petal interrupted his thoughts, and said

"I knew, because I'm a fortune teller. I can see the future, and the past." He shivered. All Flame wanted now, was to get out. But a boulder had been moved in front of the den. He was alarmed, and yelled,

"Let me out! No one will let me stay here! They'll come after you!" He then stopped, and started crying. Now, his eyes were sparked with fear, and his ears laid back against his head.
