Eleanor caught the yellow ball within the mesh of her crosse and evaded Stacy Kembert who had almost repossessed the ball. She span around Jayde Pierce and evaded Maria Ramierez who blinked in shock after realising the her attempted check had failed. Eleanor ran, meeting the halfway mark before quickly stopping in front of the wall that was Leigh-Anne and Jade Thirlwall. They stood, crosses vertical like spears at the bottom of a pit, shoulders low and touching and knees arched to do the same.

"El." Danielle Peazer called out, clicking two times. Eleanor charged at the two girls before stopping abruptly and sending the ball to Danielle who caught it with ease and went for a crank shot that flung at the net and went in almost like the two were magnetised. Melissa stood, mouth agape after realising that the net had been taken.

Eleanor took her goggles off and held them in her hands as her running shorts were not accessorized with pockets. She headed at the hose for a drink whilst silently praying that it wasn't warm today. She grabbed her sports bag and unscrewed the lid on her bottle, preparing to fill it.

"Good game." Louis complimented, coming up behind the girl who was crouching and filling her clear bottle. Eleanor gasped in surprise, not realising that Louis had been shadowing her. She turned around and stood up, closing the bottle and leaning forward to kiss him.

"Thanks." She said when she went back to standing straight. Louis looked at her, seemingly contemplating something and she pulled him along, heading towards the school as gym was almost over and she was melting out in the heat.

They walked up the concrete hill that lead into the student parking lot and Eleanor tossed her bag into Louis' trunk. He did the same before pulling his gym shirt over his head and balling it up in his hand to toss it into the back of the truck. He entwined their hands and Eleanor began to swing them back and forth, enjoying the slight breeze that came quickly and left slowly. Louis typed the school code into the keypad installed on the backdoor and opened it, holding it for Eleanor.

"How's you get the k-"

"I want you to take Niall Horan to prom." Louis blurted.

Eleanor stopped in her tracks and knitted her brow. She sipped her water before letting go of Louis's hand and taking a good look at him, checking to see if he was fine, trying to solve the equation for what would make him want to give the night that was so special for them to someone else. She chuckled nervously before speaking up.

"You're not serious, are you?" Eleanor questioned and then motioned for him to keep walking.

"Yes, look I know that it's a bit crazy and that it's the night that you and I have been looking forward to since forever, but I know that this is a good decision. I just want to help us to get our message across. Like okay, I ran laps for a couple of hours after school, but who is that really helping? Me, Niall Horan still has to deal with the pain of what we did back there no matter what punishment we endure." Louis said.

"But Louis, it's nuts, we've never even spoken. What even makes you think he'll even agree?" Eleanor said.

"He'll say yes." Louis confirmed. "I saw him, the way that he looked at you. You saved him the other day in class." Louis sighed whilst brushing his hair back.

"But I don't want to go to prom with Niall, I want you." Eleanor said, feeling like her world was crumbling.

"I can't go." Louis said, letting go of her hand once more and jogging down the staircase that lead to the boys locker room.

Eleanor Calder scaled the cafeteria after eating her lunch. She presumed Niall to have been here due to his not being in the library. Everyone had reported that same news, that Niall could be found in the library, but upon entering it was clear that no one had possibly graced the place save for the librarian who mostly slept in her office behind the checkout desk.
