As Samuel arrived at the park, his mind was miles away... He was tired as another day passed by, yet he was at peace. Knowing that he wasn't physically competent to become a knight, he always made a note of running 20 km every day, even if he was ill.
Samuel is a person who strongly believes in his principles, and he believes that he will be able to achieve his goals as long as he works hard and doesn't give up. It was his way of living.
As Samuel started to run, he thought back to the reasons that allowed him to persevere and continue. Out of nowhere an image from many years ago came up. on one occasion when he was on the verge of giving up, a person asked him, "how are you? How's your day?" In reply Samuel said through his tears, "today was horrible! I am miserable!" After a long pause, the reply he received was, "If today is your worst day, then that means the best day is yet to come. Would you not agree?" He replied, "That's not possible, I mean how is it possible?" and the person replied, "Well, good and bad come in equal proportion, it is only a matter of when the events occur. If you have only been experiencing bad, then that means one day the good will arrive and when it does, treasure it my dearest!"
As the thought played back in his mind, a tear formed in his eyes and he started to smile. It was true that those words were what has kept him going all these years.
As he started on the last course of his run, he slowed down and as he always did, enjoyed the beautiful view the park provided. Lush greenery, a beautiful lake, the sun descending behind the cityscape and those luscious lips! WHAT!
"STOP!"
"Why don't you come play with us little girl?" said some delinquents from Seiko High School, a school infamous for the students it produces. Not good ones at that, the students were all rough and often caused trouble.
Samuel stopped and called, "Leave that lady alone!"
The students chuckled, "Oh, mister tough guy wants us to stop." One of the students called out, "Sure! On what authority?"
Samuel replied, "On the honour and chivalry we as men should have!"
"Oh, so mister tough guy is a knight is he?" Laughed the burliest of the group. "Well, come and save the damsel!" and as he finished his sentence he launched himself towards Samuel with the aid of his system, the weapon of magical knights. Systems can be switched and changed, however, people that can become knights (students and professional) are born with an affinity towards certain types of systems. In the case of the person now leaping towards Samuel, it would be an agility based system.
Samuel stared the person in the eye, "I have no choice now do I?" Samuel twitched a finger and walked away.
The boy kept flying... towards the spot that Samuel was standing at a second ago... he drew back his fist, and... he hit the grass head first.
"BOSS!" yelled the companions of the injured student.
Samuel flicked out his phone and in 10 seconds he was heard saying, "Yes, we require medical attention right away! Someone has a broken neck... please hurry!"
A boy from the group turned towards Samuel and asked, "Why? Why did you call for help? Why did boss miss? He is the ace of Seiko High School, and a master of his agility based system."
Samuel calmly replied, "On my honour as a man, after all, I didn't want to fight him. Wouldn't you help a stranger who just had an accident? Well, I can't say why the best student at your school would lose control, maybe I was lucky today."
5 minutes later a crew of paramedics dropped from the sky.
"Umm... excuse me? Umm... Sorry to bother you, but thank you for helping me." Said the most soothing and beautiful voice that Samuel has ever heard.
Samuel turned and faced the young girl. He never really had to chance to have a good look at her. He was shocked... standing before him and expressing her gratitude for him was a well endowed beauty. "Ahem, uhh... don't think much about it. I was simply trying to help someone in need."
"Well, thank you so much. I'm sorry to bother you but can you help me out one last time?" Said the girl. "Well, of course... I'll try my best", replied Samuel.
"Can you tell me where... a-a-Asuka Academy is?"
Samuel remained silent for a moment. Then he smiled, "Sure, I'll walk with you."
"Thanks so much!"
