Chapter 1
Ellie... Seventeen
"Last year before college, thank god." My best friend Kelly says, sitting next to me for our last period of the day.
"I know, kinds scary though don't you think?" I ask.
"Nah, I'm just happy to be finished with this school. Can't wait to get out there, maybe even find the girl of my dreams." Kelly says with a dramatic sigh. That's one of the reasons why I love my bestie Kelly. Not only is she immune to my brothers because of her taste in the same sex, but she always manages to make you smile with her exaggerated personality. A fact a lot of people don't know, since they avoid her due to her 'difference', something that makes me peeved every time.
"We'll I'm sure your girl is out there somewhere, just waiting to be blessed with your magnificence." I joke with a laugh.
"Yeah, yeah, and I'm sure you'll find a guy to pop that cherry of yours, or even talk to you without your brothers scaring him to death soon enough." Kelly says in a low voice, flicking her electric blue hair over her shoulder, and staring at m with the dark blue eyes, which stand out against her pale white skin.
I punch her hard in the arm a moment later, already feeling my face get hot.
I guess you can't blame me for still being a virgin though. I mean one, I know I'm not the only virgin in my year, especially since we're still young and all.
Two, all of the boys are too scared of my brothers to even attempt to come near me. And lastly three, any that did attempt to get near me, my brothers would teach a harsh lesson to, warning away all the good ones.
According to my brothers I was, and still am, too young to have a boyfriend. In their eyes I should only begin to even 'consider' dating once I've finished college. Which meant I would be in my late twenties before I ever 'popped my cherry' as Kelly so lovingly put it.
So in other words, operation get a secret boyfriend - if needed, which is very likely - shall commence as soon as school is over. After all, even though I do ant a boyfriend, just to see what it's like, I can't be bothered dealing with drama while in school.
Plus it'd be easier out of school, since they likely wouldn't realize I was even related to them. While my brothers took after my mother with their black hair and green eyes, I took after my father with my blond hair and greenish blue eyes. Not only that but while they had tanned skin and a tall athletic build, I was a palish tanned colour, with a toned curvy body. You wouldn't even know we were related unless you saw our last names, and even then some would question it.
"Whatever." I say to her as the teacher walks in, my face finally returning to its normal colour.
"Oh by the way, you still going to that 'thing' after school? Need me to cover?" Kelly whispers.
"Yeah. It finishes at seven thirty this time, but if it's a problem I can leave early." I whisper back.
"Nah it's fine, just say hi to them for me." Kelly says before we turn focus on our lesson.
At the end of the day I drive home and quickly pull into the house. I jump out my shinny SUV (a present from all my brothers for my seventeenth birthday) and race inside.
"In a hurry are we." My Mum says from the kitchen.
"I'm meeting up with Kelly in a few minutes and said I'd be over soon." I tell her with a secret wink, receiving one in return. Hurrying to my room I shove my a few clothes into my old backpack, before changing into my usual baggy hoodie and jeans with black sneakers. Then tying my hair up in a quick bun that hides my ears (again the usual) I grab my bag and keys before dashing down the stairs. I almost run into Caleb on the way, who just walked in with Hunter and the rest of my other brothers save Kyle who lives in his own house now and is currently at work.
