THE AUTHOR:
Sweet_Angel1261. Tell us your name and a random fact about yourself(ex: Favorite Genre/Sub Genre, Personal Interest).
- 1. My Name is Cedkecia (Said-Key-see-uh). I am in college, my favorite color is blue. I like acting and writing and my favorite book genre is Non-Teen Fiction (Adult Romance)
2. Who is your favorite Author(S) ?How does their writing reflect on your own work?
- My Favorite author of all time is Wahida Clark THE QUEEN of street literature and starter of Thug Series. Her writing gave me inspiration and ideas on how I may want to interpret some of my characters and the setting. It gave me a vision and power of how I want my book to be. Although it is very different from her work, it gave me an insight and an imagery of what some African-American adults most likely go through in the hood besides only seeing it firsthand.
3. How long does a idea bounce around your head before you actually write/type it down?
- Oh my gosh ideas actually come and go. I get bored really easy so when I happen to stare off into space and someone is talking to me about random stuff, ideas literally “POP” in my head, A whole freakin scene or scenario that would be epic and I have to ask myself afterwards “Ok the idea is fantastic but what will happen after that and who or how will other characters be affected by that?” Because my mind wonders so much and random epic ideas pop in my head. I have to keep remembering that idea or scene and write it down exactly how I pictured or some of the stuff will be lost and I’ll be upset because I forgot.
4. Do you have any specific procedures or rituals you do before/during a good typing/writing session?
- I do not think I do what most normal writers do, takes out a pen or paper and just start writing ideas which is awesome and my procedure varies sometimes. I like to play my scenes and ideas out like they are in a movie. I sit or lay down in a very quiet place and just daydream or think about what I want to happen next. If I like it of course I am going to use it and continue on what I want to happen next. I find this to be A LOT easier because I am an imagist and I want to imagine what could or will happen. But then again on some days. I just pull up Microsoft office works and just start of typing stuff that comes from the top of my head which is rare sometimes.
5. Name someone you can always confide in for a good proof read and honest feedback?
- I am always checking behind myself to see if some of my grammar and punctuations are correct and I am currently looking for an understanding proof reader to check behind me as well. The only thing is I want he/she to understand my type of writing style and the entire purpose of me writing that way because every author’s writing is different. And I ALWAYS want an honest feedback from my readers! =)
6. Which out of all the characters you ever written about is your favorite and why?
