A they would go to parties together and people were already organizing they're wedding. "What are we going to do when you come back from the war?" Victoria had asked him one day, he had blinked and smiled. "We could travel the world? Or do whatever you want?" That was when she told him about her being a spy in Germany. They would live a life of danger apparently, the soldier and the spy. She had killed and he was okay with it, because he knew she would be okay with him killing. And as he travel to make sure all woman were being evacuated, he thought of his best friend. Then he saw them beautiful beyond anything but in his mind Victoria would always be more beautiful. And when they changed him, he knew the only thing he had left from her were his memories. And even those were blurry but he treasured them. He never once saw her again, and he sometimes wondered what became of her. What became of the beautiful but terrifying and unique Victoria von Swartzchild. His best friend, his confident.

And she realized she had lost the only one that didn't judge her, her best friend. And so she cried, she cried so much she was surprise there wasn't a new river around. And she never again cried for someone, Jasper had been for her a sun that lit up the world. While she had been a moon that lit up roads for him to follow.
