I put my hands inside the pocket of my jacket as I wait for the bus to come. Today is rather chilly. I looked at the sky, wondering if it's going to rain but then I remember that it's going to be winter soon.

Right. I was busy these past few days that's why the thought of the coming winter season haven't crossed my mind.

Just thinking about the first snow made a pinch in my heart. It's been a year hasn't it?

The bus stopped in front of me and I hopped in. The sun is nowhere to be seen and the moon is already peeking in the sky but I still have to go to somewhere. I chose to sit on the back and stared at the window. I heaved a sigh I didn't know I'm holding and let myself be lost in the busy streets of Seoul.

I still have to wait for an hour to get to my destined place. Without knowing, I fell asleep with thoughts of first snow filling my head.

My eyes fluttered open when I felt someone sat beside my seat. I looked outside and realized that this is the place where I should get off by now. I called the driver and said that I'll get off, the bus stopped and I got off.

I still have more steps to make to get to my destined place so I started walking. The path I'm taking is somewhat a market so I decided to buy some things and continued walking after.

I'm busy thinking about things when suddenly I felt a cold substance dropped on my skin. I stopped for a second and looked at the sky.

"First Snow." I said as I held out my free hand, feeling droplets of snow fell into my trembling hand. An image of a beautiful smile flashed on my mind and my lips curved into a smile. I released a sigh and continued walking in a normal pace, not minding the people busy running to their houses.

The people are opening their umbrella's to save them from the cold droplets of snow and some are running, too afraid to catch a cold. But here I am, still walking despite how cold the weather is.

It's the first snow of the year, I should relish each and every second of it.

I stopped by in front of a big house. This house was once a very lively house. The hearty laughs can be heard from the happy people inside, colorful Christmas lights decorating the white house and a Merry Christmas hanging through the door.

I released a tired sigh. That was good old days.

I knocked on the door 3 times before an old man welcomed me. "Good evening." I greeted him with a very sincere smile plastered on my face.

The old man returned the smile and gestured for me to come inside before he closed the door. I took a step inside and felt the warm temperature enveloping my cold skin.

The living room that was once filled with laughs and smiles is now beating an abandoned house for its silence.

The old man walked up stairs and I followed him. Each step I can feel my chest tightening. My heart feels heavy.

We stopped in front of a white door. An image of me knocking on this door with a smile flashed on my mind. Suddenly, my grip on the basket I'm holding, tightened. He opened the door and we took small steps inside. As my feet touched the ground, different feelings washed through me. I felt happiness because finally, I'm able to see again the love of my life after a tiring day. Nervousness because I'm afraid that I might broke into tears when I can finally see her in her state.
