"Hey," my boyfriend, Joseph greeted. I smiled in response, "How are you?" He shrugged, "Honestly, I've been better. How'd the presentation go?" A grim expression settled on my face, "Not well, I'm guessing," and he guessed right. "What happened?" he asked. "Doesn't matter," I replied and started talking about other things. He's been my friend for over a year, and my boyfriend since two months. He didn't know about how the presentation was a wreck because he was home, sick yesterday. "Are you feeling good now?" I asked. "Kinda," he replied. The teacher walked in and the class went quiet. "Class, I'm sure you all know Isaac Grey, well he's been transferred to our class," the teacher announced. I don't know why he just assumed that everyone knew this guy, because I did not know him. So really, not everybody knows him. However, at the sound of his name, all the girls flustered and had weird, but excited, expressions. Some started squealing amidst their group of friends. I stared at them in confusion. The classroom door swung open and entered the guy who caused all the commotion in my life yesterday. Who was, apparently, known as Isaac Grey.
As soon as he entered, his eyes fell on me. I was already glaring at him. The smirk he gave me caused my glare to harden. Why did he have to transfer to this specific class? Noticing my uneasiness, Joseph questioned, "Are you okay?" I nodded weakly. "Fine, just fine," I replied.
"You may sit behind Ms Stein. Olivia, please raise your hand," Mr Smith said. I groaned internally, making sure Isaac saw my expression, as I raised my hand. He smirked as he made his way to the seat behind me. "Hey there, tigress," he whispered into my ear before sitting down. I turned around to give him a death glare and saw the playfulness evident in his eyes. "You really don't know who I am?" he whispered. "No!" I exclaimed, hushed. He lightly chuckled before leaning back in his seat. Joseph looked at me, "Since when do you talk to Isaac?" he asked. "Since never," I muttered in reply and took my attention back to Mr Smith. Class ended twenty minutes later, and it didn't take me long to sprint out of the classroom, just to get away from Isaac. Why was it so hard for him to believe that I didn't know him?! Was I supposed to?
To take my mind off of Isaac and how irritating he was, I decided to grab a snack from the vending machine and headed to the library to finish my homework. As soon as I entered the library, I felt something strange. It was like...I could feel that a certain someone was here. To be more precise, I felt Isaac's presence. "Isaac?" I called out. He effortlessly walked out from behind a book shelf, "God damn, Olivia. How'd you know I was here?" he asked. I shrugged, looking away, "I don't really know. It just felt like you're here," I answered truthfully. "So why are you here?" I asked. "To talk to you," he replied. "About?"
He shoved his hands into his pockets, "Well, I wanted to clear things out." I furrowed my eyebrows, "What do you mean?" He mindlessly shrugged, "I know you think I ruined your presentation on purpose, and knocked you to the ground on purpose, which caused your phone screen to break, and just, I want you to know that I didn't do all that on purpose," he said and walked past me. "Wait," I started to call out, but he had already exited the library.
