I sighed as the bell rang in the last class. I hadn't been paying much attention to any of the teachers. I even fell asleep in some of the classes. I got up from my seat and began to walk out.
"Samuel. Can I speak to you?" I stopped mid-stride and turned toward the teacher. What did he even want?
"I wanted to talk to you, Samuel. I was checking through the files and your monster isn't known. Why is that?" I visibly tensed.
"Uhh look umm Proffesor. I, well," I stuttered over my words trying not to say what I needed to.
"I'm waiting Mr. Games," he crossed his arms.
"I'm a hybrid. Vampire-Sprite to be exact but I'm a pure blood so don't worry," I said, extremely quickly almost inaudibly. I gave the teacher a curt nod before bolting out the room and back to my room. Slamming the door shut I turn to see Alex, who was partially ablaze.
"Little help here," he muttered.
"What? You're a Phoenix. Just turn into one and back. It should disappear," he grit his teeth at the statement.
"Can you just help please?" He muttered, panic quite visible in his face. I moved my hand slightly, a splash of water taking over the flames before evaporating.
"Thanks, Sam," he smiled. "About that thigh though, I, umm, I can't switch over. At least with ease." He rubbed the back of his neck, looking at everything but me.
"Wait. You can't?" I asked, holding back on laughing.
"Yeah. Laugh it up. It's fucking hilarious." If looks could kill I'd be more than partially undead. We both stayed there for a minute, unsure of what to do or say.
"I could teach you," I mumbled.
"What'd you say?" He looked me in the eyes, his brown eyes glowing with a light flame.
"I could reach your it's the same feeling as turning from human to Sprite. I could help you out," I suggested once again. Alex turned leaning against the bunk bed, thinking of the situation as he did. As he pondered I stared, his small yet fit body type, a thin hoodie clinging to it. It was an ash grey, righting in just the right areas, matching with his black skinny jeans.
"Okay." I shook my head, looking him in the eyes once again.
"Wait what?" I asked, unsure I heard right.
"I'll take you up on that offer," he smiled at me. Okay. Maybe I overreacted last time. He isn't such a bad guy. Just obnoxious and self centered and quite the dirty mouth and you get the point! I sighed, sticking a hand out which he gladly shook.
"It's a deal then."
