Fro Yo To Oh No!

"Crowded as always" the girl mumbled as she let out a sigh.

Her long blonde hair braided into a beautiful fishtail braid. Her lime green tank top flashing brightly in the sun. Dolled up like a model, as always, chewing her gum like a stereotypical teenage girl.

"Told you should have went somewhere else for lunch" she claimed in a snarky tone, while throwing a glance at the boy in the passenger seat.

"Trish, it's officially the first day of summer break! Everywhere is going to be packed with hormonal bags of meat" I returned with a snarky tone.

Trish glanced into the rear view mirror to check her make up and hair.

"Edward, have I ever told you how much I love the way you mock the young and handsome, even though you totally dig them, especially Todd" she finished with a giggle.

Trish was right, Edward loved muscled toned high school boys, with their fast cars and tight tank tops. It really did turn him on, even if he never showed it. The thing Trish definitely had right was Todd. Edward has had a crush on him since 8th grade. Always watching him from the sidelines while he flirted with the girls. The way he would laugh and flip his surfers hair. Edward tried to get over him, but he is as weak as all the other girls.

After sitting in Trish's car long enough to feel like a baked potato, Edward and Trish got out of the car and headed for Frosty's Fro-Yo, the only place in town that teens could hang out and eat without having pay more than $20. A teen paradise.

Edward couldn't help but notice how the boys were looking at Trish, in here lime green tank top and jean short shorts. She knew she was beautiful, Edward did too, and he envied her so. Edward knew he wasn't what you would call ugly. Dark brown hair, soft blue eyes, palish skin. Always wearing the basic khaki shorts and graphic tee. He even noticed some girls growing little crushes on him, but he wasn't interested. He has heard many comments about his eyes, but he only saw a soft blue, kinda like the sky. Still they were nothing  compared to Trish's eyes, brown but somehow they seem to be a bit green around the edges. Gorgeous.

After crossing, what seemed like a mile in the summer heat, of grass, they grabbed the two last stools at the fro-yo bar. The waiter came around eventually and got their orders, Trish with her banana and chocolate chips, Edward and his berry mix with his raspberries.  Edward couldn't help but notice all the boys, especially with all of their new colones infiltrating his nostrils like poisonous fumes.

Edward always had a soft spot for romance, especially when it came to the cliche movie situations. The new guy who locks eyes with you and smiles. Then he comes over and introduce himself, and the same old song and dance. But Edward wasn't locking eyes with a romantic hottie, no he locked eyes with the man who is responsible for the bullying, teasing, and threats. Luke Strando, the typical anti-gay jock, just like in movies. Before Edward could look away, Luke started making his way to Edward and Trish, bringing his entourage, and they didn't look the happiest.

Trish noticed Luke's movements. "Great, what could this oaf want to fight over now" Trish commented while rolling her eyes.

Trish didn't like Luke anymore than Edward did, but Luke wasn't going anywhere, especially with his IQ level. The thing is that Edward knew how communicative Luke was, and he looked like he was ready for some "decent" small talk.

Edward just couldn't wait to see how this was going to play out.
