Dean sat in his room, beer bottles piling up around him. Sam constantly tries to get Dean to come out his room, although like aways, Dean refuses to. They buried Samantha last month, the month Dean came out his room for once. They gave her a regular funeral, Bobby came, Sam and Cas was there. Dean blamed himself during the whole thing, blaming himself for Gabrielle dying again, his daughter dying. Sam tried to convince Dean it wasn't his fault, of course that didn't work.
Dean had spent his day by staying in his room, getting drunk, having a terrible hangover, fixing that by getting drunk again. Dean opened the door, stumbling out of it. He stumbled into the library, making Sam look up,"Dean? Are you- drunk?" Sam asked, standing up. Dean rolled his eyes,"No, I just love being unbalanced." He shot back, going to the kitchen. Sam hurried to Dean, pulling him back,"Oh no, you are not getting another beer. That's the last thing you need." Sam said, pulling Dean to the table and sitting him down. Sam got him a glass of water and a painkiller,"You might need that in a few hours." Sam said.
Dean laid his head on his hand, propping his elbow on the table. Sam glanced at his brother before taking a deep breath,"Cas says he has seen Gabrielle in Heaven. Says she's a powerful angel now." Sam said. Dean looked at Sam,"What?" He asked, downing the glass of water.
"Yeah. Cas says she's one of the rebels leaders, since he couldn't do it. They're hunting down Metatron right now." Sam explained. Dean looked down at his arm, seeing the Mark of Cain. He had gotten it from Cain himself, not thinking he wouldn't be able to find Cain to give the damned thing back. He needed it to kill Abbadon, which did work, but now he can't get rid of it.
"Well, if we pray to her, maybe she'll come down?" Dean asked. Sam shrugged,"Worth a shot." The brothers lowered their head, Dean starting the prayer,"Oh mighty angel Gabrielle," He started. Sam stifled a laugh with his hand, making Dean kick his leg.
"We, the Winchesters, pray for Gabrielle to meet us outside our wonderful bunker." Dean said,"Yadda yadda, God shit, amen." He said. They both stood up, Dean clapping his hands and rubbing them together."Man, you got sober quick." Sam said while raising an eyebrow. Dean smiled,"Well, it takes lots of practice...and acting." He said, shooting Sam a smile that can make any girl melt. Sam rolled his eyes,"Whatever." He said, shaking his head.
The brothers walked out the bunker, wishing Gabrielle heard their prayer. Suddenly, Dean and Sam heard wings flapping then stopping."Boys." A voice said, making Dean turn around,"Gabrielle?" He asked.
She was wearing a black dress and black heels. Her hair was in a messy french braid, signing that she was fighting before she came over. She looked beautiful, taking Dean's breath away. He stared at her in complete awe. Sam cleared his throat before speaking up,"Gabrielle, what happened to you?" Sam asked, his eyes soft. Gabrielle sighed,"Sam, you two took me away from a battle. My brothers and sisters are dying out there."
Dean shook his head out his trance,"Gab, are you alright?" Dean asked. Gabrielle looked at Dean, her head held high,"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" She asked,"I'm an angel again. My father is under my command." She smiled. Dean frowned,"But- But you never liked those things as a human. We buried our child!" Dean yelled. She sighed,"I know Dean, I was there." She frowned. Dean looked pissed,"You were?" He asked through clenched teeth.
"Yes Dean, and I'm sorry." She sighed,"I remember doing that to her, I regret everything, Dean." Gabrielle said. She frowned,"I have to go. We lost the battle." She said before disappearing. Dean ran a hand through his hair, kicking the dirt."Son of a bitch!" He yelled. Sam sighed,"Dean, calm down. She's an angel, they have stuff to do."
Dean frowned,"She's not gonna be one for long, I'll make sure of it." He growled, walking back in the bunker and slamming the door behind him. Sam sighed, running a hand through his long hair.
