CHAPTER THREE: BOY WORKS FAST

Chapter 3: School, Boys and Coffee

Ashley-

I was putting my books into my locker when I felt a warm breeze I my neck. It wasnt one of those creepy stalker breathing down my neck thing. It was comforting, it almost felt... right. Yet I knew it was totally insane to feel like this. Maybe cause I was insane and enjoyed this little piece of insanity he gives me.

"Hey there babe how are you this fine morning." A husky male voice said. I turned around to see Alex standing there with a smirk plastered to his face. I tried to stop myself from blushing or even smiling, but it was almost impossible.

"Hey Alex." I said shyly, before I knew it Alex was leaning in. I was panicking. We were in school and this kiss would make everything official between us and the whole school will know. But even with my panicking , he just continues to come closer.

Damn this boy works fast I thought to myself.

Our lips were centimetres away , grazing each other pleasantly and our breaths mingling. His breath was minty and fresh like he brushed his teeth a hundred times before washing it in mouth wash then coming to school.

A throat cleared behind Alex making us stop what we were doing. Alex groaned, almost as if he was upset he couldnt kiss me... wow, I've never said that before. Actually, I knew I'd say something like that atleastonce ,but it wouldn't be true.

I looked over his shoulder to see Penelope standing there with a face that was filled with shock and curiosity. Her face was redder than her hair in just pure anger. She must be mad that I kept secrets for her. We have been friends for forever and this is the first secret I've kept and its the biggest one.

"Ash what's going on?" Penelope questioned. Her lip pursued a slight frown.

"I'm going but I'll see you later Ash ." He smirked and left. My name coming from his mouth was like angels singing, so amazing, yet weird. Like imaging a bunch of angels singing then not laughing, is it just me? Okay.

He joined his friends who seemed to be watching us the whole time.

Zack was one of his friends, Zack was my ex. I hated him with a passion. His black hair and his brown eyes were captivating. I had to be careful around him. I thought I trusted him,but you can't trust anyone.

The Devil was once an angel.

"Explain." Penelope said sternly, bringing me out of my trance. The bell rang and I was not going to be late for class. I have a reputation to uphold. Being the good girl was harder than it seems.

"I'll tell you after school, meet me at the cafe down the road. Thanks bye." I said and walked away. I heard Penelope shout an okay back to me. She would never miss a moment to drink coffee. It's one of her favourite this to do.

I can't believe Alex left me like that to handle a curious Penelope. That is never good... heck, Alex wasn't any good.

Then again, why did I agree to this deal?
