I woke up in a bed? I scanned the room I was in. Pristine walls, medical equipment and my bed was surrounded by curtains. I peeked through the curtains to see two adults, a man and a woman who I guessed was a nurse by her white uniform. The man had silver hair, a grey eye with the other covered up by his bang. If I looked closely, I could see a white eye-patch under the bang. He was dressed in a white long-sleeve collared shirt and jeans with black dress shoes. He had his hands in his pockets while talking to the nurse.
I looked down and noticed that I wasn't in my pj's from yesterday. A red-orange jumpsuit with a black streak on the right arm and black combat boots with socks inside were next to my bed. I combed through my hair to make it look decent and got out of bed. I slipped on the socks, then put on the boots and tied the laces. I walked silently to the door and began to turn the golden knob. I felt shivers down my spine as I sensed that someone was behind me. I slowly turned my head to see the man towering over me and looking at me with his icy stare.
"Just what do you think you're doing?"
"I...erm..uh...d-didn't want to be in the room while you and the nurse were talking. You know....having an adult conversation?" I said nervously.
"The conversation involves you Cira." He replied bluntly.
How did he know my name!
"O-Okay.."
I followed him back to where he and the nurse were talking. The lady smiled gently to me when I glanced at her.
"Nurse May, this is the girl I mentioned. Cira." He introduced me.
"Hi."
The nurse looked at me. "It's quite the honor to have you here Cira. Pleasure to make your acquaintance." She reached out to shake my hand.
"Same to you." I hesitantly shook her hand, not making any eye-contact.
She squeezed my hand slightly and I tensed up. She's planning something, I can tell. Once she let go, I relaxed. I looked at the man. "Did you take me here from the forest?"
"Yes, I'm very surprised that you remember. In fact, I've been looking for you Cira. Quite a long time too." He lowered his voice.
"Ya don't say.." I did my best not to stutter or tremble. I kept up my guard.
He nodded. "I heard a lot about you. Tons of..rumors I'm assuming. I was wondering if you'd be interested or willing to enroll here at Magix."
Hold up now! Rewind and play that again..enroll?!?! School! Aw Hell no.
"Doesn't school cost money-"
"I'll let you go free. I'll pay for everything and anything. No worries." He said quickly.
"But what about where-"
"Already taken care of. You can start on Monday."
He's determined, I'll give him that. But he's really pushing it. I'm running out of patience for this. I sighed. "Fine, I'll enroll or whatever at this Magix school. If it'll make you stop bugging me." I crossed my arms.
"Great!" He smiled and ushered me out the room with the nurse's assistance. "Head to the dormitory and get settled. Everything will be ready for you as soon as you enter your dorm! You can meet your roommates and they'll help you prepare for your first day." He spoke quickly.
"I don't know-"
"Off you go now!" They closed the door and left me in the hall by myself.
"I guess I head to the dormitory.." I mumbled to myself.
I headed outside and sprinted off to the dormitory.
