Celestia walked out onto her balcony and sighed. Not a sad sigh, but a sigh of happiness. For it was time to raise the sun, and bring a beautiful day forth. For though Luna's night was the most beautiful as it always is, balance calls for the sun to shine.
Celestia's horn glowed and the colors of the sun rise began to seep into the navy blue of the night. Soon the sun and the moon were equally as high in the sky. This was Celestia's favorite moment before the moon disappeared to bring night somewhere else.
"Good morning sister," Luna said as she walked out on the balcony to join her sister.
"Good morning Luna," Celestia said greeting her sister.
Celestia then kept raising the sun into it's proper position while she talked to Luna.
"Tia," Luna said as she interrupted her sister's lecture on the importance of the seasons.
"What is it Luna," Celestia asked her sister.
"The sun......Its...its not moving," Luna said as she gazed at the sun that had not moved even a tiny inch.
"It should be rising, with the moon setting," Celestia exclaimed as she continued to try to raise the sun.
But the sun did not move, it stood at the same height as the moon. Celestia strained to push the sun up into the sky to bring day, it didn't budge though. The sun stayed in place as if a stronger magic held it there.
"It won't budge! Go fetch Twilight and her friends, maybe they can help," Celestia ordered her sister through clenched teeth.
Luna ran to Princess Twilight's chambers. Where she stopped in front of the beautifully craved doors that marked it. Luckily Twilight's friends had had a slumber party that night and were all there too.
"Twilight," Luna called in the royal Canterlot voice that she only used for emergency's now.
"What's the matter Luna," Twilight asked sleepily as she opened the door with her friends behind her, looking equally as tired.
Twilight gave a confused look to Luna but said nothing.
"Come on girls, lets go see what we can do to help," Twilight said as she followed the frantic Luna to the balcony.
When they arrived Celestia looked like she was going to collapse. A beam of her magic was coming from her horn. But there was another beam coming from somewhere unknown. Celestia was using her magic to fight a battle for the sun's control. Her efforts failed as Celestia fell defeated as the sun was raised by the other magic.
"What was that," Twilight asked Celestia as she helped her up.
"Some.....Somepony just took over the sun," Celestia managed to say as she caught her breath.
Twilight and her friends had worried expressions after Celestia had said that.
"What are you going to do now," RD asked as she hovered next to Twilight.
"The sun needs to be taken back into my control," Celestia said as she stood and looked up at the bright yellow star, known as the sun.
"How would we do that," Fluttershy asked in her timid voice.
"You all need to find the pony who took the sun. Then order them to surrender the sun, and if they refuse threaten them with the wrath of Equestria," Celestia stated coldly.
"But why threaten them," Twilight asked confused.
"Because the sun is of most importance, and I must gain control over it again at all costs," Celestia said.
"Ok Celestia," Twilight said as she turned to her friends and ran back down the hall with them........
