The Set of a Sun and the Rise of a new One (MLP fanfic w/th ocs)

Twilight and her friends walked through the jungle towards the castle on what looked to be a worn path. As they got closer to the castle they could see guards stationed at an back entrance that connected to the path they were on. As Rarity had stated earlier this castle was gigantic compared to the one in Canterlot.

"I think we are going to find the pony that stole the sun inside that castle because the magic trail ends in there...," Twilight whispered as her and her friends hide behind some bushes watching the guards.

The other 5 mares nodded in agreement as they watched the guards turn and exchange a few words before heading off on another path into the forest.

"Let's go now, this may be our only chance to get into the castle...," Applejack said in a hushed voice.

Twilight nodded and led the group towards the back entrance making sure to stay low to the ground so she wasn't easily spotted. Her friends also stayed fairly close to the ground as they sneaked over to the gate.

"Magnificent," Rarity said a little louder than a whisper as they approached the gate that was made of a strange metal and accented with gold.

"Ssshhh," Rainbow shushed Rarity as she flew over the gate to open it for her friends.

Rainbow dash unhooked the latch that kept the gate closed then gently pushed the gate open for the other mares. The 5 ponies quietly walked through the gate and into what seemed to be a garden behind the castle. Twilight re-latched the gate after her and her friends walked through it.

The mares all did their best to focus on their mission instead of starring at the wonderful array of flora. They soon approached the back doors into the castle, that also at the moment weren't guarded.

"That's strange..," Twilight whispered as she looked around to see if the guards had gone somewhere in the garden.

"I wonder where the guards have gone too," Rainbow said as she flew a little higher into the air to get a look for herself  "There seems to be no pony in the garden," She added.

"Whatever is going on must be important at the moment so for right now we need to focus on getting into this caste," Twilight said in a partially worried voice.

Twilight's friends nodded in agreement as they all turned their attention to the two large castle doors.

"We can't run the risk of making noise as we open the doors and enter the castle, so I think it's best if I cast a spell that will allow us to walk through the doors...," Twilight said as she took a moment to think.

"Sounds like an a-ok plan to me," Applejack said in agreement to the plan.

Twilight nodded to as her horn light up as she began to cast the spell to allow them to walk through the doors. A portal-like hole in the door began to form and it was just the size for a pony to go through.

Twilight smiled as she said "I did it, now let's go in."

Her friends walked single file through the hole in the door. After her friends had gone through, Twilight then went through the hole in the door. Once her and her friends were all inside the castle Twilight stopped the spell causing the hole to disappear without a trace.

Again there was no guards in sight but there was the eminent sound of hooves patrolling the halls. Twilight quickly  cast a cloaking spell so that whoever was coming would not be able to see her and her friends.

The hoof steps grew louder as the pony grew closer. Soon the six mares could make out a faint shadow of a pony as the mystery pony came closer. The pony then came into sight and what he looked like shocked the mares.

Not only was this pony an alicorn but his cutie mark was the sun.......
