The Secrets Within

Chapter 2

I wake to the shine of the window, I brush my teeth, take a shower, and get dressed once I'm done I fall back on the bed and grab my book.

Once I finish one chapter I clean up and pull my hair up into a ponytail and I head out trying to find out something to do besides think about what happened that night.

Once I get out of that crappy hotel I get in my car and turn on some music, it seems that music calms me. I take a deep breath and think," what adventures can today bring ?"

I drive as I sing along to my favorite song, then I see an department store I think to myself ,"Well , you do need a job joline!".

I turn into the parking lot , I turn off the ignition , grabbing what I need and step out of the car thinking ,"What could possibly be worse then what you have now?"

Once I get closer to the store I get a call , and it's from my mom I decline the call and walk into the store and ask one of the workers," Can I apply for an job here?", "Yea, just follow me" He says as I follow him.

As we get closer to the back of the room I see an woman she says ,"fresh meat, follow me". We both go into this room and she tells me to have an seat

I start the conversation by asking," what's your name ma'am?" She answers and says," My name is Nicole ,we don't get a lot of this good manners stuff around here".

It felt like we were in that room for hours, but it was only 53 minutes. " So when do I find out if I got the job or not?", " tomorrow, what's your cell phone number so we can tell you if you got the job or not"?

Finally that's over and I get back in the car and I call my best friend and of course she doesn't answer why even bother trying then I get another call from my mom and I ignore that call too .

"why, does she decide to be in my life now?" I turn the music up where it's blasting so I don't bother to make the slightest crack in the windows.

Once I make it to the hotel, I check my phone and I have have 6 missed calls and 3 text messages and it's all from my mom except 1 text message and 1 call so I check it says:

"I don't know what else to do!"

I don't know what it means, is this a sign?

Not knowing who this was or what this text message meant I call the number :

"Who is this? "

"can't tell you! "

"then why did you even bother calling and texting if you don't even want to tell me your name so it's time you grow up and please don't call this number again!"

I hang up as soon as I get finished with my speech I am in so much rage that I actually call my "MOM"

"Let me guess one of your 'boyfriends' broke up with you and you need an shoulder to cry on "

"did you know that you are my favorit---"

"First of all I am your only child and you always think about yourself it's time you grow up mom, they only dated you because they were playing you for your money they never loved you like I did ,but you stick up for them the ones who don't even love you, GOODBYE!"
