Chapter 1

        

    "You've gotta be kidding me." I frown at Mike, one of the members of management.

"No. I'm not kidding. You cannot adopt a child. It's just not going to happen." Mike typed on his phone not even paying attention to me.

"Listen. You act like you own me. You don't. I can do whatever the hell I want. I am so sick of you thinking that you control every one of my actions. I'm my own person." I yelled, slamming my fist on the table.

My action obviously startled Mike because he ended up dropping his phone and nearly tipped over. His face drained of all color and he was staring at me. Well then again, nobody has truly seen me mad and I don't think anybody wants to. But, this guy was really pushing my buttons.

"God dammit Liam. What has gotten into-"

"Don't even finish that sentence. Nothing is wrong with me. It's what's wrong with you! You will make everyone's life a living hell and you get a fucking kick out of it. I'm sick of you! If maybe Alex was here, he'd let me be happy but no. You got him fired with your lies!"

"Oh shut up Liam. Wah wah. You sound like a baby. Just... Just shut the ef up!" Mike stood up, with anger covering his face.

"Ha. Your so pathetic Mike. You realize that you can't control I do. If I want I will got and adopt a child. You can't do a damn thing about it. This discussion is over." I snap pushing past Mike roughly and leaving the room.

I could hear him yelling profanities from the meeting room and people were staring at him like he was some delusional psychopath. And I knew exactly where I was going.

To the adoption center.

*Maci Pov*

I picked up the Barbie doll that is naked and I looked around for it's clothes.

"Can I have those." I pointed to the doll clothes.

"No." Rita said.

Rita always was mean to me. I don't know what I did to her but she acted like she was the queen of 3 year olds. She also had all the doll clothes. She's such a meanie.

*Liam Pov*

"Welcome. We have many children here. It's mainly children from 3-9 years old. Um feel free to look around. I'll be in the kitchen, it's down that hall, first door on the right." The woman said.

"Thank you." I smiled looking around at all the adorable toddlers running around.

I felt somebody ram into my leg and on instinct I grabbed the arm of the little girl who fell. Trust me, being around fans all the time you get used to girls falling and or fainting.

"Well aren't you just adorable." I picked up the little girl and my eyes widened slightly.

This little girl was gorgeous. She had light brown curly hair, and icy blue eyes with a darker ring around the edge. I couldn't help but look into her eyes. But, she didn't look like the happiest person ever.

"Awe. What's wrong." I ask in a gentle tone.

"Her won't let me have any doll clothes." She said in the most adorable way ever.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Maci." She softly leaned her head on my shoulder like she would hurt me.

This little girl was so adorable. It didn't even take the time for me to look around at anybody else. Maci is the one. I can just feel it.

"Well I'm Liam." I say and she picks up her head.
