{first meeting}

It was the first day of the second semester. Needless to say, Minato was getting bored of summer, so getting back to school will be a nice change of pace for him. Summer was... well, it wasn't exactly 'boring' like he said, hell, he was pretty much occupied the whole way. Going to the movies one day to another isn't really...enjoyable, despite the fact that he's with a friend and there are different movies everyday. It was just getting repetitive.

A nice change of pace, he mused. He knew he needed that.

On lunchtime, he didn't go eating with Junpei or the others. He wanted to be alone, just for once. He wasn't really a social butterfly until he came here, so it will be nice. Not lonely, just... nice.

He found his way to the rooftop, as strange as it may sound. He knew no one would be there, because everyone either went to the cafeteria, or the classrooms. A perfect place to be alone.

Though it seems that he was not the only one who thought the same way.

A girl is sitting in one of the benches near the railings, her back turned from him. Her hair flowed gently with the wind, as she busied herself eating her bento. He didn't seem to recognize her--maybe she's from another year? Section maybe?

For the first time, Minato Arisato didn't know what to do.

But his body did, as weird as it sounds. He stepped forward quietly, his bento in hand. The girl was still unaware of his presence. Good. He didn't want to be caught in this position.

It wasn't long until he finally sat down. Not right next to her, of course, but on the same bench. The girl noticed him finally, her hand tugging her headphones away from her ears.

Oh, so that's why she didn't notice him.

But that's not the only thing that caught his attention. Her eyes...

"Oh, hello. I didn't expect for anyone else to be here."

...has some hue of gray, almost like glass. The same like his.

He gave her a small smile. "Me neither."

She let out a giggle, and looked up into the clear blue sky. "The sky is beautiful, isn't it?" At her statement, he did the same.

Flickers of cherry blossoms flashed in his eyes, and a strange sense of deja vu rang from his mind. But he still smiled all the same.

"It really is."

He couldn't help but feel happy at this change.
