{ Keiko }

"I'll be in the center row!" I shouted after Yusuke and Kuwabara who were headed somewhere besides the drugstore they said they were going to. I sighed and went to step inside the movie theater.

"Hey Keiko!"

I turned around and saw Mizumi and Takako running towards me.

"Oh" I said, sounding disappointed. That's right. Mizumi and Takako just went to a shop when Yusuke and Kuwabara said that they were just going to the drugstore.

"Why the long face? And where's Kuwabara and Urameshi?" Mizumi furrowed her brows as she took a sip of her soda can. I just found out that she's the kind who always drinks soft drinks. And she also wears her scarf everyday without a fail. One time a classmate of ours tried pulling it out of her. That classmate of ours was in the hospital for a week because of broken bones and such. No one tried to get it from her since then.

"Well you can't see them right now, can you?" I snapped. Mizumi raised an eyebrow while Takako frowned. I sighed.

"Sorry guys, I didn't mean it." I apologetically said. Takako put a hand on my shoulder and smiled.

"No worries, besides, we're still here to watch the movie with you, right?" she said and I smiled. She removed her hand on my shoulder as she stepped inside the cinema.

"Maybe those two will come back." Mizumi whispered to me optimistically while putting her arms on my shoulder.

I nodded and finally stepped into the movie theater with these girls that recently entered my life. Who knew I could find the presence of these girls refreshing. Being friends with Yusuke is stressing me out.

"You will save them seats, right?" my black haired friend asked again while looking at us questioningly. "Maybe we should buy them some drinks and popcorn too?"

She kept asking questions which was cutely annoying. At least she was trying to lift up my mood. Me and my other green haired friend laughed as the film started.

••••

Five minutes turned into an hour and a half. Even the amazing foreign art film didn't stop me from looking at the door, feeling anxious if Yusuke will even bother to show up.

I expected he did though.

Mizumi bit her lip when we stepped outside. Our eyes met and she nervously laughed. I growled in frustration as I finally gave up.

"YUSUKE YOU BRAT!" I shouted as my hands clenched my school bag and walked away. I can sense people giving me frightening looks but I don't care.

After being away for six months, he still has the nerve to ditch me. I'm growing tired of this kind of antics of his. I'm trying my best to keep him from trouble. But despite this incident, I'll be still here for him. He isn't horrible as everyone sees. I even protect him to everyone who kept on saying bad things to him when he's not there.

BUT HE STILL DITCHED ME.

"Keiko, you're going the wrong way. " I heard Mizumi behind me.

Eh?! They followed me and didn't broke a sweat. I'm sure I walked fast enough to worn them out. That's different.

I turned around and gave them a small smile.

"You can go home without me. I just need to go back to the school." I said. I can see that Mizumi had already disposed her soft drink earlier and brought another can.

"Shouldn't you go home instead? It's getting late." Takako offered but I shook my head.

"I just need to finish some student council stuff. It would only take a few minutes." I stated.
