Yeah...I'm Logan and I'm the boy who waited so long for my gift, I still don't know what it is though.
Anyways my dad and I were surviving for like forever, we travelled alot of places to get cheese and a suprise was we saw someone that needed help, she was Joana. She lives with us from the day we met her.
Right now its freezing cold because of who knows what.
"Could you make me some hot chocolate?" Joana asked me lazily
"But..you could do it yourself" I replied
"Come on Logan, my feet hurt so much."
"Fine." I rolled my eyes then went to the kitchen, made hot chocolate for both of us and put it on the coffee table.
"Happy now?" I asked Joana, sarcasticly
"Yeah."
She took a sip of her hot chocolate as I was listening to the radio, yes, there was electricity.I listened to the news and suddenly.
"Breaking News! A huge storm is coming up tomorrow! Be prepared for this event!" The news reporter said
I was instantly schocked, I told my father and I got lamps, candles ready. Joana got pillows and blankets while Dad aka John helped.
"Why must this happen? I mean its been 5 years then suddenly a huge storm comes out of nowhere!" I asked my father
"Because, this wizard that did this is insane, wanting something powerful." John told me
"Maybe a crown, the king's crown." Joana told us
After a few minutes discussing on what's happening tomorrow, we started preparing the pillows,blankets and lamps in the kitchen. We slept in our rooms first and I stayed awake since someone was supposed to come here.
*KNOCK KNOCK*
I opened the door and saw my cousin, the person who I was supposed to meet named Jake.
"Hey there Jake, come in." I greeted him.
He went in with his sling bag and his flashlight turned off and I offered him some hot chocolate.
"So why am I here?" Jake asked me.
"Since there's a huge storm tonight, and I know you're all alone in the house, I invited you to come here so you can stay safe from the storm." I said
"Oh right, my house is nearly broken." Jake said
After that talk, we went to sleep as I invited Jake to sleep in a spare room.

I woke up smelling delicous food, I went downstairs and saw my father cooking my favorite breakfast. Scrambled Eggs and Bacon.
"Wow, thanks Dad, oh and Jake is here" I said happily
"Lucky I cooked extra, hehe" Dad said as the others went downstairs.
We ate our breakfast happily and then we suddenly heard thunder and it usually scares Joana. I don't know why.Dad cooked food and prepared snacks.
The storm started coming as we heard the hard rain hitting the ground outside and it was super windy. Me and Dad prepared hot chocolate and there was a suprise, marshmallows!
There was a sudden knock on the door and I got a baseball bat and Joana, well got an umbrella.As I opened the door we saw nothing but a simple box. I got inside and it was heavy. Dad got a cutter and opened the box, as we saw a baby bat, it was cute and it was asleep, I think its harmless.
We peacefully went to sleep, while we were asleep, the storm stopped.

Oh wow the first chapter is done, I was really having a hard time figuring out John's name. So okay. I hope the next chapter will be awesome~
