Chapter 7

"I just don't get what 'possessed' you to wear that" Alice ever her hand around. We have been having this conversation all lunch.


"Alice can you please just drop it, I think Bella looks fine" Edward turned to smile at me.
Alice huffed and turned to talk to jasper. I mouthed Edward a "thank you".
"So what class do you have next" Edward asked.
"Am English i think, what about you?" I turn and look at him.


"English looks like you'll be stuck with me for the next hour" he laughs and picks up his bag as the bell rings.


"You ready?" he asks me


"Yeah I guess so".
We walk side by side towards English and I take a seat next to Edward.


"You know you do actually look fine, Alice is just being alice" if I was human I'm sure I would of blushed.


"Thanks I'll try to make more of an effort Tomorrow". the teacher walks in and I turn and face the board.

Shutting my locker I turn and walk out of the school building, walking towards my car I'm stopped by Emmett "Hey belly welly" he smiles a big toothy grin.
"Seriously Emmett?" what a stupid nickname.
"So where are you going?" he leans against a car.
"Home I guess"
"can I come" he looks at me with big puppy dog eyes. "why?" I question.
"Well I kind of got Alice angry and I don't want to face her" he looks genuinely scared
"What did you do?" I ask as I begin to walk towards my car, he walks beside me.
"Well in art I kind of spilt paint on her, but luckily the bell just rang so I ran so can i?"
"I suppose so but you know you're going to have to face her sooner or later." unlocking my car I get in and so does Emmett.
"Yeah but I pick later". I shake my head and start to drive home while Emmett fiddles with the radio.
"How do you live with such a shit radio".


"It's not that bad I usually just listen to tapes." he looks at me with a horrified look.
"Tapes Bella it's the 21st century, who listens to tapes have you never heard of a CD player?"


"Of course I have Emmett I just prefer tapes OK?" this family sure likes to insult me any way.


"Got it" I pull into my drive and we get out. Unlocking the door and turning on the lights Emmett walks straight towards the sitting room and puts on some sports channel, while I walk upstairs and start my homework
